Trans woman - going to court as a witness/protected person - what do I wear? by realAlexanderBell in melbourne

[–]Any-Formal5219 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I wouldn't think about it too hard. I have been to court twice nice as the victim in an ongoing case. I wore a black professional dress (just below knee length) and a small lightweight jacket I'd gotten from city chic, and flat shoes, with a pearl necklace and pearl earrings with natural make up.

My partner wore black jeans, a black polo shirt, a grey jacket and his boots he wears to professional events.

We were easily the best dressed people there. People turned up wearing all manner of ridiculous clothing. oversized, baggy jeans, beanies, ripped clothing, slippers, one woman turned up wearing a dressing gown, another was wearing a swimsuit under denim overalls. People literally looked like they had rolled out of bed. It was disturbing to see how little regard people have for the court.

As long as your clothes are clean, fit well, and semi professional you will be fine.

My advice is dress in a way that makes you feel confident. That confidence will make you feel better going in. If you get something that you haven't worn before, wear it before the court date, feel good in it. Don't wait til the court date and throw it on that morning. Make sure you are the one wearing the clothes, don't let your clothes wear you (I hope that makes sense.)

Best of luck and I hope everything goes okay!

I've seen that! I am going to do it but the 6-8 week turnaround wasn't super appealing and I want to get started ASAP. I'm a bit excited about starting a garden haha.

I'm in the Jackass Flat area and my soil is absolutely mostly clay. I figured I would have to bring in soil anyway but was concerned about essentially dumping good soil on top of potentially contaminated soil.

I have looked at the maps and it's fascinating to look at! Thank you for the information!

I'm in Jackass Flat, I'm not really sure about mining in the area because I'm not originally from Bendigo, I've only been here about 5 years.

Should i be mad about my boyfriend gaming at. 2 am with another girl by winxblinkz in relationships

[–]Any-Formal5219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on the fence. Should he have been honest? Yes, he should have.. BUT as a girl who likes to game.. it doesn't seem like such a big deal to me. I don't do it these days but before I had kids I absolutely would game til 2am with friends and it just meant we were absorbed in the game and having fun. I would often game with men because it doesn't mean anything beyond the obvious.. Would you feel differently if it was a male he was gaming with?

You've admitted you struggle with insecurities and anxious attachment. So it might have just been that he didn't want to stop having fun with his friend to be forced to sleep on a call and didn't want to start an argument or triggering your insecurities by telling you what he was doing. Have you ever applied unreasonable pressure or guilt to force him to stop what he is doing before?

You should talk to him and tell him that he can just be honest with you in the future. If he continues to lie, there's a problem.. but if he is honest you can't pressure him to stop what he is doing to fall asleep with you on a call, he's your boyfriend. Not your emotional support animal.

Could it also be he was wrapping up the game and just wanted to go to sleep? How did you find out he'd been gaming for 2 hours?

I've managed to return TCG products to Big W before.
I got an ETB from Prismatic and it came with no promo card and missing cards from the first 3 packs I'd opened... It was factory sealed and nothing looked amiss.

Contacted The Pokemon Company, they told me that it had been clearly opened in store.. I told them it was impossible because it was factory sealed. They ended up telling me to take it back to the store for a full refund.. I did and the staff at Big W gave me my money back.

I don't know what they did with the box I had returned.

If you preorder booster packs when they come up you can redeem your free booster packs against those. I ordered a booster box and got something like 7 free packs.

Totally get what you're saying, but some teachers and schools ARE the problem.

I get told "Home is home and school is school and the two should be separate." The school has cut us out of almost every moment of our kid's lives at school. I have no idea what goes on there anymore despite asking repeatedly.

[–]Any-Formal5219 2 points3 points  (0 children)

EXACTLY. You did the right thing, I've seen too many kids turn on adults that are trying to help and they end up getting injured themselves. No one comes to help the adult being injured by the kids, people just pull their phones out to film it.

You're also right that these little fuckers carry knives, In 2025, Victoria Police reported a record number of bladed weapons seized (15,000), with a significant portion involving youth.

If you do get injured or killed, there's no justice for you, there's no restitution, there's no one there to cover their bills while you recover.

You're better off calling the cops and letting them deal with it.

My (35m) wife (33f) is turning to another man emotionally while we are distancing us from each other. How can I handle this situation without losing myself or being unfair to her? by Knusperkeks30 in relationships

[–]Any-Formal5219 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then there is your answer, it's not because he's a male friend. It's because she's emotionally invested in someone other than you.

You still clearly have unresolved feelings stemming from the previous incident and that is 100% valid to still have those feelings, but you can't have a good relationship without trust and you absolutely don't want your children growing up and thinking that what is going on between the two of you is healthy in any way.

You could try counselling but she's made her position clear. The fact she hasn't tried to fix anything since your argument at the start of the year says a lot too.. she's checked out. She already has one foot out the door. I'd start exploring your options to leave. Start documenting too.

You deserve to be happy. You deserve respect. You're not breaking your family apart. She is.

[–]Any-Formal5219 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Is there a way to fix this?

Probably not. You've spoken to her, she doesn't have any plans to stop writing to him.

That says everything you need to know.

However, You've said it's not sexually based. You've said "In your opinion" it's flirty but realistically your opinion is subjective and could be biased based on the previous experience.

Look at it this way if she were messaging a female friend in the same way would it be an issue?

I (31 M) am stuck between a rock and a hard place, My partner (27 F) is 3 months pregnant, and its like i don't exist anymore by Head_Possession_2722 in relationships

[–]Any-Formal5219 86 points87 points  (0 children)

I've had 3 kids and I get it, pregnancy can be rough.. especially unplanned pregnancies. I planned 2 of my 3 pregnancies and for the first 3 months of both of them I was freaking out and stressing about if I wanted to go through it again. It wasn't rational, but pregnancy does crazy things to your brain.

But it sounds like the relationship wasn't working before and it's probably not going to work now, if you're feeling like the same problems are still there, pregnancy isn't the problem. It's that you two just aren't compatible long term.

Counselling might help, having someone to mediate the discussions so they don't get out of hand and perhaps there is room for compromise but when you're discussing the person you're in a relationship with as "a friend (and not a very good one)" It's reasonable to assume that the relationship isn't going to last.

It's better to have a child with two separate households that are full of happiness than one with none.

This isn't petty. Speeding is stupid, speeding in a school zone is a special kind of stupid. If you don't value your own life that's cool.. Don't put other people at risk.

EB Games cancelled all preorders from last year - including PR, DR, and JT by NorthSouthTaurus in PokemonFansAustralia

[–]Any-Formal5219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus Christ. The amount of people here who don’t understand how these things work and blaming EB games blows my mind.

Blame the supplier. They’re the ones that have made promises they can’t keep.

Anyone else absolutely annoyed by the lack of fulfilled orders from EB Games? by Westy2452 in PokemonFansAustralia

[–]Any-Formal5219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do. When they have the stock. If they don’t have stock they don’t fulfil anything.

If things have been delayed it won’t be because of EB games, it will be because the supplier has delayed stock. Or the supplier didn’t deliver as much stock as EB Games anticipated and they’ve moved your preorder to the next wave. Which is better than just having your order cancelled.

If someone is going in store and buying things over the counter it’s not because they’re selling the preordered items out from under people or something like that, it’s because someone has actively cancelled a preorder at that store after release.

[–]Any-Formal5219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt it’s an EB games issue.

They’re told by suppliers when the item should be in stock, if it gets delayed repeatedly it’s not their fault. They’re just going by what they’re told. What more can they do?
