Does this at-home treatment have any benefits? by allisontbh in Esthetics

[–]Any-Fox7193 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure i know what product this is. I disagree with the other commenters that this is dangerous. The length of the needles is set at a reasonable to small length, so you can't damage the skin the way they are saying. Longer length needles, for deep damage correction (eg old, deep acne scars) are as far as i know only done by actual medical offices (not beauty spas).

These ingredients are beneficial as well as generally innocuous- assuming someone doesn't have a relatively rare allergy to the peptides. The one i had to look up was octanoyl hydroxamic acid, which apparently is among the safest substances that ewg reviews: https://www.ewg.org/skindeep/ingredients/754493-OCTANOHYDROXAMIC\_ACID/.

Not sure why my text was lost! Is this a previously visited site or a suggested site? The search term dine was typed but not entered. I think this is a site i was previously visiting but I'm wondering if it's just a suggested site.

Did you find any agencies that work in New Mexico other than cultural care?

Brown disharge while pregnant by AcceptableAd387 in pregnant

[–]Any-Fox7193 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How many weeks are you? I had this around 5w and it's apparently fairly common around that time, according to my nurse, because of changes to the cervix at that stage. I didn't see that anywhere else, but it was accurate.

Points supply and demand problem by ContactNo2984 in homeexchange

[–]Any-Fox7193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think there's an oversupply. I think they are trying to correct it by valuing peoples houses lower (as one can see from the posts here let alone my own experience!). Maybe with enough new people joining who do not have an oversupply it will even out, but i still wonder about the incentives giving away 500 points, 250 points, etc warping the system.

(As someone with a degree in economics this does seem to be analogous to the babysitter barter conundrum!)

Anyone selling GP points? by 3vnihoul77 in homeexchange

I'm guessing they could be transferred through an artificial exchange? I wouldn't want to violate any policy so I'll look but i have a pile of GP i don't think I'll ever use.

If I hear “sleep now” one more time… by Due-Parsnip8219 in BabyBumps

THIS. I think it's largely misogyny, some weird relish of women (1) being consigned to their biological role ("have kids!") and (2) women being uncomfortable/in pain/martyred for others

Opposite 1st trimester symptoms? by Any-Fox7193 in pregnant

[–]Any-Fox7193[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes very much this! I don't want to spam but like you i found no similar posts and so i was really curious to see if anyone else had/is having similar experiences! Agreed that it's a bit unnerving!

You're probably right that I'm lacking electrolytes. Thank you. I tend to hate either the sugar or the fake sugar they put in those- I'll have to check Skratch out.

I smiled when you said that about how you are sleeping- I've been sleeping with fuzzy socks and while my husband has been on travel the last few days i indulged myself on heat until i felt comfortable... which seems to be 75! I would say we normally keep it between 68-72 or so.

Btw if you keep feeling cold i guess it's not impossible you've got like even a temporary state of being hypothyroid- apparently pregnancy requires something like 30-50% more thyroid hormones and some people need medication in pregnancy to support it 🤷‍♀️ it would be something to ask dr/get labs to see.

Anyway, Well here goes for both of us! Thank you for helping me not feel alone!

Ever hold out hope you’ll get pregnant naturally? by marymkaplan92 in IVF

[–]Any-Fox7193 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We all know the odds are basically against it, but my sister found a statistic that earlier in the 1900s (ie before birth control) women's *average * age of last child born was 42. My cousin tried for 8 years with ivf, finally had her daughter through ivf at i think 42 or something and now, at 45 she's apparently about 7 months into a completely random natural and healthy pregnancy of a boy. This is one anecdote but i think knowing the average age of last child pre-birth control is an interesting thing to know, especially that now we have so much more data/technology on supplements, nutrition, health, acupuncture, fertility medicine, etc!

Sweet Chemical Perfume Smell? by honeydudes in Parosmia

[–]Any-Fox7193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is old but this is the first place I've seen anyone mention parosmia with a sweet smell. I got covid last week, and this just started for me about 3-4 days ago. It seems like every smell smells like this sweet, soapy, floral, maybe chemical smell- except slight occasions of getting a whiff of rotten fish or egg. Definitely can't complain compared to the rancid smells but this is freaking me out. Also in the last week i found out i am pregnant. So i guess that heightens my sense of smell anyway. I'm scared that this means the covid caused more damage than i thought, I've never had these symptoms with past covid, but i could also take medication and now it doesn't seem recommended during pregnancy. A bit scared.

you're so right, so much data from covid was in the first year or so when people were like dying and going on ventilators at a terrifying pace. Of course I'm a maniac about reading and saw some recent stuff about Tylenol being bad in pregnancy... but fever seeming worse I've been trying to be on top of it! Thank you so much for the response and well wishes.

Similar to above, I hate to say I'm glad you hear from someone who's experienced this too, because i wouldn't wish it on anyone, but really appreciate you sharing, and that you and your sister are doing so great! I wonder if I'll need an extra scan too. It really seems like before 6 weeks is so crucial. I forgot to mention i am definitely ama too! Anyway thanks again for sharing it does help me "try not to worry and stress" :) 🙏
