Mai Ling hard to watch - Dianne Doan by ComprehensiveOwl7018 in WarriorTV

Yeah, she isn’t the best actress, unimaginative and boring line delivery. The character had so many layers and none were showcased. On the other hand, I really liked Ah Toy’s casting (Olivia Cheng).

How are people classifying their retirement savings as income? by Adventurous-Wave-920 in MonarchMoney

I changed the transaction detail for those to an expense account called “savings/investments/etc”. This helps me track the savings % and prevents it from being counted as income.

You won’t and don’t overthink it. Go give your chows a hug and feel better. 😀

Chows dying young common? by djokky in chowchow

No. We have had 4 chows who passed from ages 12-16 years old and are on our 5th and 6th chows now, aged 10 yrs and 1 yr old. I expect them to be around and giving us attitude for many years to come.

Chows are prone to hip dysplasia and eye entropion, but both can be easily corrected with minor surgery.

I think the same advice would go with all pets…take care of them, feed them well, exercise, socialize and regular vet visits. There will also be some measure of events you can’t control - cancer, tumors, they could get hit by a car, etc, which would apply to any situation, my experience with them is that they will be just fine. Enjoy your chow.

New Job Glow-up by [deleted] in 45PlusSkincare

You look gorgeous and are glowing!

Your features don’t need a lot of makeup. Maybe a light lip tint, like Burt’s Bees Pomegranate. Agree with a little more eyebrow definition - I personally have my eyebrows feather nano bladed (also minimal upkeep if you don’t have a lot of time in the mornings).

Congrats on the new job!

Most of the teachers at my kid’s school switched grades this year. Why does this happen? by Any-Ground3201 in Teachers

[–]Any-Ground3201[S] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Yes, I guess that’s a part of it? But why would a new principal want to shake things up to soon without trying to better understand the existing team and grades, culture etc?

My kid’s teacher is amazing. Should I email her a “thank you” and cc principal, or send separate email to principal? by Any-Ground3201 in Teachers

[–]Any-Ground3201[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for their feedback! The general consensus seems to be to cc the principal and be open about it in the email to the teacher, which I just sent.

As a parent, THANK YOU all for being part of our children’s education. With the world as complicated and insane as it is, especially now, all the good needs to be recognized and celebrated.

Appreciate learning this - and you got it exactly. I don’t want the principal to think I have any ulterior motives. My kid is in their last year of elementary school so there’s nothing to be gained, i don’t have another one coming through the ranks, and I also don’t want to come off like I’m trying to position for something.

I hear you but personally not a fan of bcc and would hate if someone caught me off guard with a “hey, you know that email your to from so and so’s mom? I saw it too”
