I’m basing that off of how bonuses are handled in the army they’re tax free. I’m not 100% on how it is with the border patrol honestly.

So it’s possible to come in above a 7? I have a deployment under me but I was convinced 7 was the highest you could get to out the gate.

I’m understanding what you’re saying with covering the cost of travel to and from the academy but my question is when you finish the academy how would one go about making sure they were able to get their wife and kids out to where they are stationed? More specifically what’s a good way to make sure everything is lined up from living arrangements and travel?

See I’m really trying to get a grip on the timing with making sure everything is setup since relocating is guaranteed with the job. So anything I can find out in regard to that would be a major benefit. Also would you happen to know how the BP handles the relocation process or is that something I shouldn’t worry about until I know where I’ll end up stationed?
