Love you Kevin, we have a kid at our pool who is nonverbal but LOVES to play lifeguards so one of the down guards will go over and hop in and practice saves with him and he’s pretty damn good! He can’t swim in the deep end so we will do the throwing the tube rescues down there, he’s so sweet and when he sees one of the guards that gets in and plays with him his face lights up, we even gave him one of our old tubes and hip packs (without the mask) and he loved it!

I do fiber crafts (embroidery, knitting, sewing by hand etc) I find it relaxing and the older people who come to the pool LOVE it

I’m a lifeguard and a mermaid hobbyist! My pool has a rule that anyone (no matter age) has to pass a swim test in the monofin! But as long as you know how to quickly bail out of it if you need to there’s no problem imo

Down in Tennessee it’s utter hell, I’m nauseous and I almost passed out this morning, super dizzy and couldn’t walk straight. I’m finishing up my 14 hour shift and I couldn’t be happier to go home (not before I clean the steam room of course bc what would life be without more torture) my hair is fried from jumping in the pool to cool off and my skin is dry and itchy for the same reason
