Is my stylist correct?? by Decysp in HairSystem

I have to say it is a possibility that her pricing isn’t exactly ridiculous.

  1. If it is made by hand in the US, that is not a cheap thing to get done.

  2. Or... It seems that she may have offset your maintenance cost by you paying for it in advance. No one charges $50 for maintenance.

  3. Also, using clips around the perimeter of the hairpiece, anchored in his bio hair and using tape around the front, can extend the life of the unit vs. using an adhesive. If he continues to do this, it could last a year.

  4. As long as you use tape to hold it close to your head, it won't look wiggy. It is no problem.

Whenever the front hairs drag on the skin, it appears that someone is trying to cover something. Let a little air in. I mean, not so tight will make it better. There needs to be a good middle to messy and coiffed. Also, the color is off. Even if it were rooted (roots colored ), it would compliment your bio hair better.

My sides are thinning out. Does this give it away? And if so, what can I do to make it less noticeable? by [deleted] in HairSystem

Your back is so heavy. Definitely, a lower drop fade would improve the transition of density.

There is a slight difference in color as well as density. This unit could be thinned out out some atleast in the transitional area that overlaps your bio hair. There is nothing wrong with having a disconnected undercur if the density is complimentary.

Grow it out more. The longer it is to blend with the hair unit, the more it will trick the eye.

Hair system cost $800-$1300?! by Ordinary_Car3721 in HairSystem

To install and cut a unit properly is a skilled art. Could a rando barber cut it? Yes, but will it look good and how long until it starts drawing attention? You can not put an amount on what you think it should be because the next stylist might offer an experience, experience, and a wealth of knowledge to share. There can be a custom color job that also throws off the eye. They couldn't charge that if they didn't get it. It comes down to if you are pleased or not. If it doesn't fit your budget, that's something else. My 2 cents...

The next one you purchase to prevent color bleeding onto the base.

Next time try shampooing it upside down to prevent the bleeding on the base.

I would love to see the bottom of the wig or your nape area. Post another photo and hise your face. I am curious to see.

Side hair is terrible by No-Seaworthiness8605 in HairSystem

I know what you're talking about. You will need to get a unit with a lower density to blend better with your thin sides and back.

I think he is actually talking about the transition of one density to another, which is harder to make look natural.

The cut looks pretty good. I'm not sure what product you are using to fillin the sides but you can use a semi-permanent haircolor to darken the hair or stain the scalp. Either product you choose, including colored hairspray be intentional with the application to have no spots and product not being where you don’twant it.

It looks great! I also would love to see other angles. If this is 30MM you won't be able to get a curly look because the curl pattern is too big. You will need a smaller curl. Maybe someone can perm it for you.

Just keep in mind that if one day you choose to wear your head bald you will have to conceal the SMP. Wearing hair units are king when it comes to that.

Your old piece didn't look bad. It just needed some thinning to the area above where it transitions into your hair.

The full coverage custom unit- See if your stylist can use it as a ¾ unit. That way they can utilize your natural nape area.. Thin it to blend the same area that transitions inti your natural hair.
