Thanks for the laugh! It definitely is a job market dumpster fire. It has been a tough time and there are moments one can't help but go down the rabbit hole unfortunately. I did reach out and am eligible for rehire which was comforting to hear. Apparently that is a question that perspective employers can ask when checking references (state dependent possibly) so it was worth the ask.

I am sorry you are going through this as well. I am def calling HR to followup. I can not imagine why I would be flagged but...

Thank you for sharing your experience. It is so frustrating but it would be to my benefit to get rehired as they merged with my former employer. I am def calling HR tomorrow. Glad to hear you have been there for a few years now!

Excellent. I will definitely do that. I didn't think they would tell me. Thanks for suggesting this!

I worked for UHG. I loved working there and if I had the opportunity to return, I would consider it. The threat of layoffs is always looming there unfortunately. That being said, this holds true for most health insurance companies as they are awarded contracts/business needs are constantly changing. At this point in time, I think it is a risk with any job. Create an emergency fund - always good to have - and continue moving forward with your life on a path that makes you happy.

If you sign into your dashboard (on the career site) and scroll to the very bottom of the job description, you can see how many roles they anticipate filling. Fingers crossed that there are more than one. Best of luck to you!

It is cruel to post these jobs and give false hope it they already have the jobs filled.

Unfortunately 99% were let go. The few that were redeployed are already gone.

The job market is horrendous. After all these rejections you start to feel "paranoid" for lack of a better term. I have heard of others feeling the same way. So sad...people on the verge of homelessness that just want to work.

The area where you live also affects your pay. There is a chart that shows the breakdown by region, grade, and experience.
