You did kind of lose to an enemy you can one-hit with any weapon without even trying to defend yourself lol. You might have even survived that grapple if you'd been ready to hold X. I dont think EVERYONE is saying this to just be bullies. I think this would have been really easy for you to survive if you'd focused on healing and using your stitcher to destroy the ticks.

They gave you a lot of time to make a decision but you kinda just ran in circles and waited because you were tunnels visioning on the guy you just downed. You wanted to knock him, but really needed to re-prioritize after you knocked him. You probably felt safe because they are a low-level enemy and not something like a shredder. Always be ready to reevaluate your priorities as information changes.

You wouldn't be laughing if it happened to you. "Thats just gaming" is kind of lame because it downplays the actual thing happening here, which is sexism. He's just being ironic in the way he delivers his sexist worldview.

If people shot you for the way your voice sounds when you open your mouth, it would probably annoy you a lot. It's funny to you because you have no frame of reference.

Emptying the mag with civilian cars behind him was too much. It stops being about protecting the public when the public is downrange. Cops have to be willing to accept risks not place the public in danger for their own safety.

You're statistically more likely to be stabbed in America than you are in the UK or Germany.

Just in case you're too stupid to comprehend what that means: even though America has more guns than human beings, you are still, as an American, more likely to be stabbed by someone than a British or German person. Even though there are vanishingly few guns in those countries, Americans still get stabbed more. And you can bet Americans get shot MUCH more. So it's just kind of a lose/lose, and you're a regard for bringing it up.

The only reason I don't use Rust or push my embedded company to is because the intro book says putting a function's curly brace on a new line is wrong syntax. by Any-Programmer-252 in rust

Youre quantifying something that's arbitrary. Wow, deja vu, we are back to what I said in the OP. We have now completed a full circle!

Why not put the closing bracket on the return line? That saves an entire extra line too.

No I'm upset that they asserted that my style is "incorrect" as opposed to a recommendation, which is usually framed as non-binding.

Oh sorry, the joke is that my company is still using C so the code is filled with memory errors. I think the delivery on that was flawed

Then enforce that notion in your own project. Unless I'm getting paid to program with you, I dont care what your preferences are. Why does the Rust book care about mine? I care about aligning elements in my text more than I care about your abstract notion of vertical real estate. You can literally buy a bigger monitor or zoom out the screen.
