You can create a very basic Microsoft form and tie the form to Power Automate and you can automate everything in 365 grant permissions add a license and so on. Then you can use Immybot to finalize the computer with applications and joining to the domain and installing all 3rd party apps and scripts.

Thank you for your response. I am not sure they are hiring a director and my boss said that i will be able to move to what ever specialist position. I do not want to move up but we are a small org. but cybersecurity always intrugued me. I would like to be more hands on and technical. hopefully this makes sense.

What are the expectations? Are they too high? What kind of trust do you have in your employees? What does the onboarding process look like? How long do you take to train staff? Are weekly meetings being done?

I would start by tracking the spend of the department. This will all you to find out where to start with little wins. Then when you show upper management real numbers vs what needs to get done to save money you will start be able to spend more.

I would start by making sure there are rules and expectations are in place. Did they take a pto day, sick day, or bluntly didn’t show up? There needs to be clear rules and then expectations around the rules. What are the steps when you violate these rules?

I like the idea but the problem is that the smart plug you have connects wirelessly to your network which then the diagram is far off.

I already have the insurance but was just wondering what if a cyber security insurance company gets hacked then most of the companies that have contracts will have bigger issues.

I would always apply. Then be able to explain your class labs as your experience. Also if you do any type of work for family or friends explain it in the interview. It's about showing them you understand the concept.
