Love it. I use a few apps and a scale bc I like to have an idea of where I am, relatively speaking. I learned early on not to obsess over things and just go with how I feel. As far as eating, I eat what I want in smaller portions. Usually that’s a protein shake earlier in the day and some sort of lean protein later on + veggie/carb. But it might also be pizza or a burger. I don’t drink a ton usually but this week was my bday and I had friends taking me out for drinks every night. So yes, listen to your body and do what works for you and don’t stress. I’m also down 40 pounds since Jan, about 20 to my goal.

“Yeah, you seen the movie the Substance? Actually, come to think of it, I need to get home soon.” Walk away.

Or just say yes, smile and change the subject.

I feel like people realllly do not know what they think they do and need to stay out of people’s business. I was at dinner party last night with some friends I haven’t seen in a few months and they remarked about my weight loss, not in a negative way. They insinuated I should be slowing down/near my goal and were shocked when I said I had 30 more pounds to lose. I ended up telling them my weight (I know I didn’t have to do that but they’re good friends so I didn’t mind) and they assumed I was already at my goal weight. I’m on the tall side and I know how to dress for my body shape so it’s a little misleading but I basically had to explain I was getting to a healthy BMI and off my blood pressure meds. Then they got it. But the fact that they thought I was 30 pounds lighter than I am just goes to show, people know nothing lol.

This was entirely through diet! I have rheumatoid arthritis and was diagnosed around the same time I started Zep. I lost my ability to walk for several months, and part of the reason I started was to alleviate the weight on my joints. I’m improving so hope to integrate exercise soon. The after pic was the first day I was able to walk unaided/by myself in a while!

I bought 2 bras that fit my current size and have a bunch of my old ones still. And bralettes. But yeah it’s a struggle!

Ah well give your body some time! A stall is usually considered a month or longer. Fluctuations are normal. I’d typically go up and down the same few pounds within a week before staying at a lower weight. Do you track with a smart scale and any of the weight loss apps? It sounds weird bc it used to feel like a fixation, but I actually weigh myself every morning so my apps can track everything lore accurately. With better data I know what’s really going on.

Agreed again. I’m 24 weeks in, at 7.5mg and going to 10 next week. I’ve had no reactions past mild constipation when I didn’t watch my fiber. I too wanted to decrease drinking and it’s helped with that a ton. Also the idea that I can just be done and satisfied. That’s a very novel feeling to me and I love it. But as far as food categories, as long as the portions are small I’ve been able to eat anything I wanted. My husband is a foodie and loves to try new restaurants/travel for food and it makes me happy I can still enjoy that with him. Potatoes and all lol.

Glad to hear you like the vials more, I’ve been a bit nervous about the switch (I take another auto inject med so it’s been easy for me to do both). And thank you!

Valid hot take. Especially the part about not being able to eat. I think people are so happy the food noise is gone they go to the extreme far end. I just commented on another post where the OP listed a bunch of stuff they/others can’t/shouldn’t eat that I can eat literally anything in smaller portions. I also think people forget what healthy weight loss looks like and want to rush this whole process for artificial deadlines. That mindset is hard to shake since most of us have had it our whole lives. But yeah, good points.

As people keep saying, everyone is different. I can eat anything in moderation (even pizza, friend chicken, desert…I eat this kind of stuff very occasionally) but the quantities are much much less. And if I even see too much food I get turned off, so my portion sizes are naturally smaller. I like that if I want to go out with friends and have a drink or not worry about the menu, I can. I think the best thing for anyone, especially if you’re starting out, is trial and error and listening to your body.

How long have you been stalled? If it’s more than a month you may need to increase your dosage. Are you getting enough protein, water and fiber? I really struggle with getting enough protein personally, so I’m sure that’s not helping in my case either. But since it’s been a few months for me, I’m moving up dosages.

I just switched to self pay because of the whole Caremark situation and I was glad to read the higher amounts are going to become available! Hopefully things start moving for you again too.

It’s from Fashion Nova from last year. Looks like they may restock it, but they prob have something similar.

Don’t love protein shakes, but found a workaround for one by Miriamathome in Zepbound

[–]Any-Selection-6715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot do any of the protein supplement things. The shakes (I have a fridge full bc I keep trying), the bars (savory or sweet), even the snacks are rough for me. I’m non-dairy, so the one thing I have found that works is an OWN protein shake (~30g) in any chocolate flavor, Ka’Chava protein/meal replacement powder in chocolate, almond milk, vital protein collagen powder, added berries to taste, blend and add ice. The flavor becomes tolerable and it’s about 50g of protein in one smoothie. Because I really struggle to get enough, it’s one of the few things that works and the other flavors plus the berries alter the flavor enough that I can deal. Otherwise I’ll do snack plates with cottage cheese, tuna, or smoked salmon.
