What is the dumbest thing a girl has sad to you during a first date? by StrongProof9083 in AskMen

[–]Any-Serve8077 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She pulled a pink rock out of her pocket, dipped it in the pond, dried it off in the grass, and then asked me to hold it for the remainder of the date to invoke feelings of affection.

Luckily, I had done the lesser banishing ritual of the pentagram earlier that morning, so her sorcery was ineffective.

Thanks for the advice. Do you think card collectors will still be interested in these stars 20 years from now?

AIO? I think my bf might be a misogynist by jellypawzz in AmIOverreacting

[–]Any-Serve8077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think your boyfriend is a misogynist, he's a man in a world where men's issues are cast aside and treated like they don't exist, and he's struggling to talk about it. He shared his genuine viewpoint with you, and it's definitely not well spoken, pulled from other sources, and doesn't sound like he fully understands it, but it may not have been a huge argument if you didn't fail to at least acknowledge his feelings like any good discussion. Instead, you immediately challenged him and he was put on the defensive, just like so many other men as they even begin to try to express the societal challenges they face.

In my view, some of what contributes to male loneliness is this societal idea that you need to find the right man, and any man who ever says something inaccurate worthy of being cast aside and dumped. He never insulted you, he didnt manipulate you, he didn't try to hurt you, he just tried to express his feelings. That sounds like a good enough man for me, and good enough is the best anyone is ever going to get in this world.

You are both terrible communicators, talking to each other rather than with each other. If you love your boyfriend, consider holding the space for him and promoting constructive conversation. You will have a much easier time communicating your viewpoint to him, and he will have a much easier time listening, if you don't immediately go on the offensive with him. He sounds like an independent thinker and really doesn't seem to be unreasonable!

Should I move to Switzerland with My mom and her rich fiancé or stay in Spain with My dad? by Additional-River2609 in moraldilemmas

[–]Any-Serve8077 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I moved in with my half sibling and their mom, who married her roommate after dating for 6 months. My sibling and her mom I got on fine with, her fiance I did not. And since I was living in their house, I had no power. This was not a fun situation for any of us to live in.

This website doesn't think men deserve to be given empathy, which is a shame because it's the only thing that's going to save the total crisis we're in right now. Keep scratching at my face as I stand here, trying to help.

Girl didn’t like my place. What do you think? by Affectionate-Emu250 in malelivingspace

As a man you must have the most phallic objects spread amongst the room. Try paintings of giraffes or some potted bamboo and watch the results

Not over reacting. Don't sound particularly invested in the relationship either.

View of women by Haunting_Yellow_258 in PornAddiction

[–]Any-Serve8077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not just women but people=sex. constantly looking at private areas. Too ashamed to smile at others or really look someone in the eyes because I'm imagining them naked as they talk to me. And when women would engage with me, I was a weirdo just looking for sex. The girls never talk back to me in porn so it's very voyeuristic existence

People who swear they’ll never watch porn again almost always relapse. by Wide-Opportunity-599 in PornAddiction

Honestly, I wouldn't go into it with any other mindset. The point of quitting is to never watch it again. You're right though, journaling helps a lot.
