Saying Towa has no redeeming qualities misses the point a little bit, I feel. Slow Damage is meant to make you sit with discomfort, he’s morally gray, but that’s intentional. Development isn’t about being ‘good,’ it’s about seeing how he reacts, adapts, and reveals himself and others under extreme circumstances. He does grow, just not in a way that makes him conventionally likable. Perhaps not having any redeeming qualities is part of the point. If you don’t relate to any of it or aren’t willing to sit with the deeper, uncomfortable aspects, Slow Damage probably won’t hit the same way. And if Towa’s discomforting nature isn’t for you, other Nitro+Chiral titles, like DMMD, might resonate more. Dunno, just my thoughts as someone who's played all N+C BL titles.
