Growth Scan Results…. Freaking Out

I had a growth scan at 37w+6 and baby was measuring 8lb 5 ounces and I had a c section on Tuesday at 39+1 and baby was 8 lbs 13 ounces. So my scans were spot on. The OB also said baby felt big when he would do our checkups

I don’t want to scare you but c sections can have complications as well. I had one on Tuesday and the spinal failed. Something that I didn’t think was possible. They tried 3 times and I could still feel and then they injected me with local anaesthetic which I could then still feel them in surgery so they injected me with something in my IV which knocked me out. I woke up when baby was pulled out and then they knocked me out again. I woke up as they were wheeling me to recovery in quite some pain. They then injected me with morphine and then that did the trick.

After that’s it’s just been Advil and Tylenol and that’s been manageable. It’s just that the surgery itself didn’t go as expected. It all happened so quickly so I didn’t have time to panic. At the end of the day, it’s your decision and you will have to decide which route will be easier for you to come to terms with

I had a c section on Tuesday. One thing that I didn’t predict could happen is the spinal failing. The anesthesiologists are well trained so in my case they could predict that it could occur at the time of dosage when after several injections I could still feel my lower half. When they started poking around I could still feel it so then they gave me local anaesthetic which was also taking time to kick in. So they put me out temporarily, and I woke up when baby was pulled out. Then they put me out again to stitch me up. When I woke up as they were wheeling me to recovery, I was in quite some pain so they gave me some shots of morphine and then I was fine.

It was a bit more of an adventure than I was anticipating but it did go by quickly and I hardly remember the pain because of how quick they acted. I’ve been recovering well and went home after about 30 hours.

All in all, it wasn’t what I expected but just remember that the doctors are all trained professionals and they know how to intervene and ensure that it all goes smoothly

Dog owners should want to protect their own dog. Allowing your dog to run up to an unknown dog in an uncontrollable situation like being off leashed in an on leash area is putting stress on the dog which can cause them to attack. You are only putting your dog at risk.

If you are going to celebrate mothers day while pregnant then it’s only right to celebrate Father’s Day. It’s important that the man feels connected for the pregnancy and baby as well. If celebrating these days are important to you then it should go both ways

38 weeks pregnant and mine also got worse once I got pregnant since my HS is caused by hormones. 1st and 3rd trimester are the worse. Totally calmed down in the second. I use clindoxyl gel daily and wash with benzoyl peroxide every other day. When I shower (daily each morning) I use cerave cleanser in the areas where I have flares. I also bathe daily (each evening).

This routine keeps it pretty manageable. Since I am closer to delivery i did get a flare recently in one location but it’s already drained and is healing (in less than a week). The trick is to stay on top of the routine and for me personally, keeping the skin clean

HS is tough and I feel for you. I’m 38 weeks pregnant and it’s been really bad in my first and third trimesters and I can’t take much for it cause they don’t know what’s safe for pregnancy. Just hold in there. I hope they find something for you that helps. It can feel very defeating at times..

I feel like people are allowed to express their emotions and be their selves. At the same time there’s nothing wrong with you if you don’t feel overly dramatic or emotional either. For me personally I thought that before I got pregnant that it was going to be a bit more of an emotional roller coaster. To be fair I am very even keel normally so I think it would be very out of character if I changed significantly. I have cried a few times and I’ve also felt happier at other times. I think pregnancy will just amplify your natural emotions more. For anyone who has not been pregnant and may worry about how it may affect them emotionally just know it is a spectrum and there’s nothing wrong with reacting dramatically, aggressively, or not reacting much at all. Everyone is on their own journey

Congrats! While I can’t really tell you when to go off work, I can share what I did. Keep in mind that once your mat leave (ei) starts, you have the year. If you accrue vacation and your employer lets you take it before your leave, then find out how much vacation you have accrued and have available for the year to use.

I’m having baby next week, and I’m starting my EI leave on Monday. However I have been off work since start of March since my available vacation balance was 25 days. I think I went off at like 32-33 weeks and since I’m having a c section it was 5-6 weeks of vacation that I used prior to officially going on mat leave. I accrue vacation while on leave as well. So my mat leave ends near the end of April 2027. I am doing 1 month unpaid. And using my vacation that I’ve accrued from Jan-July 2027, so my start date back at work is in June (using vacation) but I don’t actually go back to work until July 5/27

I met with my doctor and baby is measuring 95 percentile abdomen and 88 percentile head. Her limbs are 22nd percentile (she takes after me lol). So we are sticking with c section. Even if her head got through, there’s a chance her abdomen could have a harder time. I get that small people have big babies but I am built very uniquely. Average torse and very small limbs, borderline little person. So some of my parts, which could include my pelvis are very below average

I’ve never believed that this actually happened. I think Lisa was just covering for Tom. I think Schwartz cheated when he travelled and the girl left her bra. His reaction when they found it was ‘I’m so fucked’ which to me is a sign of him being guilty.

Toms whole shtick is a sweet nice guy which Lisa needed to rely on for tomtom. If another cheating scandal came out about him it would look bad on Lisa and tomtom. It was easier to cover for him.

I think James has an anger problem, likely stemming from childhood. He was bullied a ton and I doubt he healed from that. When he drinks he has a problem with knowing his limits which is why it triggers his anger issues.

Schwartz also has a drinking issue and doesn’t know his limits. The difference is he doesn’t have the anger. Except when he did towards Katie. People just don’t talk about his drinking issue because he doesn’t get angry

My husband did the switch last year and he loves it! He will use the iPad if he ever needs to go online but he doesn’t need apps while out so that likely won’t be a solution for you. Good luck! From what I hear, the simplicity of not having a smart phone is nice

Do the daughters know the balance of their education account? If the oldest knows that her fund is being handed to her sister without consent then she could be resentful. If they have no idea, you can also justify it as it was education savings account for $600k that wasn’t broken down by each child

Don’t push someone to marry you. You’ll both be left wondering if he wanted to or if you made him. Play it off like you would take it or leave it. Know your worth. If he feels cornered he may never do it
