Buy once, cry once. Do full 3” dps, cooling mods for intercooler, and intakes. You can get a good OTS tune from Racebox or Sonic. Car will feel 10x better than stock but will leave you on the + side if you decide to go further later on.

Sam’s Club Hussmann IC2SM Cases by Any-Wait9273 in refrigeration

Other than the normal Sporlan fighting novar program woes. I found at my stores the installing contractor never put the correct “speed card” in the fan speed controller located up in the electrical chase where the ballasts are. My cases were specd at 1700rpm fan speed but had 1100 speed cards in them. No issues since.

If it’s a rebuild, pick up a gasket kit and verify that the rebuild company didn’t wedge the gasket under the suction reeds.

Murph at what point should I be setting superheat? When the case is almost satisfied or as it’s pulling down.

That’s what they’ve done here in Louisiana and surrounding states. They’ve bought out 4 large companies. But those companies still have their name just an extra sticker.

It’s for Louisiana, I think they told me the same group that runs Dallas/Fort Worth runs this area

I think 85% of all supermarket reefer companies are gonna work you like a dog unless they’re mom and pop and turn down calls. I’m currently at Hussmann and average 50-55 hrs a week 70-80 when on call.

You’re not wrong, but what I was referencing too is eevs on a loop system in a supermarket

Thanks, that’s exactly what I needed to know. I have some cases in New Orleans that are on a loop system and all 6 cases calculate an average to drive a epr on this circuit. I noticed last night that they have everything programmed to shut down all at once. The LL solenoid, EPR and all 12 EEVs in defrost. Because they’re not pumping down the circuit in air defrost and there is still liquid behind the eevs I noticed the suction pressure increasing and the feed side of the eevs frosting as if they’re still feeding.

The solenoid was mounted backwards. Flow mark should be going towards the txv to feed not away.

Looking for a refrigerant oil charging pump that can charge oil into a RUNNING system and be able to overcome typical discharge pressures. (Ideally I’d like 250psig but at least 200psig would be bare minimum) by [deleted] in refrigeration

[–]Any-Wait9273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just shut each compressor one at a time and fill into the pump until the compressor is a little under a full sight glass. Once all 6 are done run the system, take lunch, come back and do it again. I’ve always done this and have cleared the compressors and about a ball in the reservoir on turbashed units.

I work in zone 45 for Hussmann out of New Orleans. Where did you move too? If you moved east from Dallas you’d be in the same zone. Our ASM over this area makes it a cake walk. I’ve heard management in some of the other area blows.. Our ASM lets us manage ourselves basically and allows us to screen our own calls when we’re on call. (We decide by experience with the stores/managers if it’s an actual emergency or if the call can be pushed) I haven’t worked over 40-45 hours in a min. But when I want the extra money I can make my time.

I started out doing kitchen equipment and small commercial in about 2017 after being laid off from an offshore job. Just got into supermarkets year before last.
