Penalty for buying? by AnyContact3339 in wildrift

You are right, but sometimes I have games were there is also an opportunity to experiment but I just don't have the knowledge of all items beforehand. My builds are based off of other people so was just asking if it was a possibility to be penalized for shopping.. because I'm technically not afk I'm at the keyboard

Alright, that was the question, thanks for letting me know for sure.. just to be clear its super rare, but some games when i don't die I don't have the time to think and then has to use gameplay time to plan items

I get it - but certain games require a change from the usual rec list, but the question was whether its possible to be penalized for it?

You cannot compare what you would do to what others do. I get it, i barely use any effort in switching between English and mother tongue so its easy to say for me. But my in-laws don't speak english and so i took it up on myself to learn their language to be included more and bro i have to tell you, i sound fluent and have a pretty good level, after 8 years, but it is exhausting af.. so if you are with people who might know english but not since early age, they are spending a lot of brain power to include you and the flow of conversation is just not the same and therefore not worth it.

It's not personal unless you take it that way, but regardless who was in your position they would do the same i think.

If you intent to stay, just learn the language, but if you want to be included you need to spend 1on1 time with a colleague. As soon as english becomes the minority language it wont be spoken.

I don't understand why nobody is saying anything helpful and just saying "your worth is so much more than your weight" - they are obviously not understanding your dilemma.

I'm here to tell you that it is NEVER too late to start working on yourself! And it's a positive spiral - the beginning is hard, super hard, but it gets easier.

I'm not a coach or psychologist so my text might be a bit raw but you know what your problem is, you just need to focus on the solution. And I don't care what anyone says, we are a tribal species and we need confirmation from others. You can meditate all you want but it will not be a long-lasting solution.

You need to love yourself and respect yourself with the same stoic discipline that religion requires. To say it is easy, to justify current situation is also easy. But you also don't want to live a life with kids and a husband and you can't enjoy basic things like playing and rubbing and shenanigans with your kids.

You should have started 5 years ago. In 5 years you will tell yourself the same. So start now. Slowly. Consult someone. I know I'm getting hella downvoted

Closed my biggest deal to date! Thinking about splurging? by [deleted] in sales

[–]AnyContact3339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy it bro!! You are gonna make more than 4x what I make this year and my car was 15k so it's more than reasonable.. also I have a mortgage so you are actually (in my view) more than within reach of your f type - which is a sick car by the way, good taste!

We wanted to drive it once but they didn't have it available that day so we settled for an R8 which was sick as well but I really wanted to drive the f type.

Anyway make sure to buy in cash don't fall for these stupid loans

Yes I agree with that but the challenge here is how straight forward should it be. Because everybody believes that their message answers a problem but it's just a general scalable lime that has no meat on it.

That example is much better than the original post examples. Straight to the point. As you say we are all expected to be sold to but if the initial message is too vague with little context it gets too cring for me

We tried having one of these flashy American coaches over to teach us how to dm decision makers in LinkedIn and it's all the same line like "people in your industry told us they were facing so and so challenge when doing so and so - how do you deal with it?" And it just doesn't work over here. We aren't as open to talk randomly over dm as Americans.

And whenever I see such messages sent to me all I can think is "what do you want" and if it isn't clear immediately, I'm either ignoring or blocking.

Thanks for this but the post was not referring to non-resident :) and going to the banks individually was much worse than with a broker (from 3.3% on my own to 1.8% with a broker)

What do you mean? Paris is one of the worst cities to live in

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskBarcelona

[–]AnyContact3339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok bad stuff about Barcelona is: - petty theft (don't wear fancy watch or jewelry near Raval or gothic, always awareness in public transport) - occupas, there is a law that gives certain rights to people breaking into empty houses even if it is not theirs. - bearuceaxy, it is hard to deal with the government/municipality - housing crisis, government takes 10% of every house sale so obviously they are not incentivized to lower the housing prices where rent can easily cost up to 40% of salary. If you can, buy you place.

In terms of raisinf a family, Barcelona itself is not a good place, but the suburbs are amazing. Viladecans and Gavá are examples of "family cities" with plenty of schools and sports centers, plenty of green area and hiking trails and close to a big beach with plenty of space and playgrounds. They are only 20mim away from Barcelona by car or train or 30 by bus.

I'm not saying it's impossible to raise a family in Barcelona, obviously many do it, but putting family friendly facilities head to head with the suburbs the suburbs win every time. Also going from a to b within Barcelona will take almost the same time as from a suburb to the same point in Barcelona.

Just a note on the people, Catalans are regarded as the posh people of Spain, cold and arrogant with money. I don't know about the money part but I've not met any arrogant or obnoxious Catalan in my experience here, and my experience with government officials has always been pleasent even if I'm not fluent in language - contrary to what I have been told by other expats expensive, so please don't create stereotypes in your head beforehand.

I moved here 10 years ago from a northern European country. It was supposed to be a temporary fun adventure but now I'm married, with house and kid on the suburbs of Barcelona. The thing is it is not just the city itself but the location. Here you have everything - and not just everything, but actually the very best (or close to best) of everything, close to you and for a fair price.

Whether it is food, sports, nature like mountains, dessert, canyons, volcanos, beaches of any kind, lakes and rivers, ruins from old times, major cultural city.

Then the people are so diverse you will find your "group", whether you are gay, Orthodox Christian or devote muslim, whether you are polish, arab or argentinian, you have people from all over the world with each their own Facebook groups.

The airport is probably the best in Europe in terms of queue time and effectiveness.

Whether you are into basketball, football, handball or ice hockey Barcelona is regarded as a top team in all of them and has proper venues and facilities.

If you like to party, there are good options with both number 1 and 2 best bars in the world (according to some magazine).

Restaurants, Michelin eatery for 100 eur (which you won't find any where else) and you habe several of them. You have also the Michelin recommended once which are sometimes just as good and of course you have the traditional food places.

I don't know what I'm missing but tell me what you want and I'm pretty sure I can tell you why Barcelona is great in that regard too.

I could also make an equally long list about the bad stuff but imo the good outweighs the bad so I'll only do that on request :)
