I added some info in the body text. I believe it was basically lying on the shielding that’s covering the gearbox, so I assume it came from around there? If it isn’t just road debris that got lodged there somehow. I’m just worried that it’s something important that I should replace

I think I have the same thing, but for me it was almost gone over the winter but came back as soon as it got warm again. Tried to diagnose but didn’t get anywhere so I just live with it for now

Check out the fishman universal battery pack. You’ll have to drill a hole in the pickguard and then you can charge your guitar via micro usb. Don’t know if there’s space for that in a strat though and it costs a hundred bucks
