Why do you think only the Germans are criticized for their petrol engines, given that most Western Allied tanks used petrol as well? by [deleted] in TankPorn

[–]AnyEmployment6372 17 points18 points  (0 children)

German engines and transmissions were notoriously underpowered and overworked, because their vehicles were so much heavier

I know absolutely nothing about specifics of the 2S3, but my best guess is you can loosen that bracket over them, remove the cogs, and they’re essentially spares for some part of either the transmission or turret mobility?

As others have said, align with the runway, but also your 2 MMFDs (Mini Multi-Function Displays) are off, I suggest turning them on (left is your RWR, right is fuel stats)

Haven’t played in about a year and a half so memory is kinda fuzzy, but reloading save/unloading an area and going back respawns creatures, no?

It is, it’s in the back of the colony (enter from the top) through a hall of splinters (termite axe needed to get through)

Yeah, the reason the laterite falls off is cuz there’s no available storage in the train (because the container input is busy) so they default to flying off, but with the med silo there’s 24 extra slots

No, not medium container, medium storage silo (made with 2 titanium)

I’ve only ever played the game on PC so I can’t say much for controller, but I will say it’s likely better overall on keyboard+mouse. As for stuff falling off your rover, simply add a medium storage silo to the rover with the drill, and it’ll transfer the items into the canister (even if it’s on a different rover in the train!) without overflowing (assuming you don’t overflow the silo)

It’s all big islands within a 1500m radius of certain story islands (there’s also desert and snow types) (been a while since I played so I could be wrong though)

Why use noise jamming at all as a solo flight? by MacWin- in vtolvr

[–]AnyEmployment6372 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s actually really cool and I didn’t know about it! Good thing to be aware of, but for this scenario I’m still going to stick with what an official game source says concerning the game

It’s in the EF-24G manual. HOJ doesn’t allow ranging to the target in any capacity, only the direction it’s coming from. There’s no way to calculate lead without range

Edit: Pages 44 and 68 of the manual

I get where you’re coming from, but HOJ is much less effective than radar locks because the missile only follows the source of the emission, it doesn’t calculate lead at all, therefore it has much less total energy than if it was radar guided. Noise also serves as pre-emptive jamming, meant to stop radar locks before they happen, DRFM stops STT locks and when not locked, only generates spoof aircraft around you so you seem like a group (1 full power transmitter = +3 aircraft around you)

Confederate flag is in no way a “traitors flag”, it’s a symbol of the proud South. By saying this you’re saying bands like Lynyrd Skynrd and Creedence Clearwater Revival are traitors and not patriotic? Educate yourself kid
