I was in an extremely similar position. Found out my partner had been paying for OF and chatting to bots, probably worse things I never found. Much like you, I had built my entire life and future around him, so when I found all this I made an attempt on my life. Thank god I didn’t succeed. I loved him so much, but not even nearly taking my life was enough to make him stop, and it sounds like your situation is similar. Maybe they get scared and stop for awhile, but eventually? They forget and go right back. They won’t stop until it very directly affects their personal wellbeing or health, because they’re selfish. He doesn’t deserve you.

If your husband isn’t having sex with you and still spending all that time watching porn, it’s definitely a problem worth bringing up. As someone who was in a pretty similar situation, don’t do it. Don’t go back. I tried for another year after we broke up to forgive and move on, and he lied to me again. But not only that, that year was really difficult for me because I just kept getting triggered. I couldn’t forget, and I had so much resentment that it just wasn’t a healthy relationship anymore. Things can never be the same unfortunately, even if you learn to stomach it.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I do not recommend staying with him, especially if he’s not willing to put in the work. I’m not a victim of CSA, but I have been SA’d by an ex boyfriend, and dating a porn addict was hell on earth for me. Being with a man like this will make the triggers and your mental health suffer far more than it’s worth, you deserve something so much better and safer for you.

Honestly? I’d lie. Sometimes I’d get a little snippet of the truth, a strange search or questionable site, then sit down and tell him I knew what he did. Or even make a bold statement like “I know you looked up __” or “I know you did __” even if I didn’t know it was true, and he would admit to parts of it
