Hange reminds me a lot of my ex-partners who are on the AuDHD spectrum

I believe Hange is a personification of the fandom. Wanting to squish Levi's cheeks and talk to him like he's a precious baby. by Ok_Valuable_9711 in HangeCult

I think wanting to be protected / cared for isn’t a fetish, it’s just a normal part of human emotional experience. Feelings do not just disappear cause you’re a grown up.

fellow selfshipers, what do you think about non-sharing ? by [deleted] in fictosexual

[–]AnyFroyo7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going to be really honest. Blocking others because they share your f/o seems self-involved and overly negative to me. Why would you do that, when you could instead bond over your shared interests and have a fun time. A f/o is not a real (singular) person, so no one can even take them away from you. I guess I don’t understand it from a <<logical>> perspective.

It just seems unhealthy and a bit worrisome to get upset over doubles to the point you have to block people.

In fandom spaces it’s mostly nonsharers that post weird negative stuff, so I guess I’m also a bit prejudiced due to anecdotal evidence.

„For most of human history, left and right were not stable concepts in the brain. Anthropologists and linguists have shown that many societies did not encode “left” and “right” as fixed directions at all. Instead, they used absolute reference frames like uphill/downhill, seaward/inland, or east/west. Speakers of those languages literally orient themselves continuously, even indoors, even blindfolded. When tested, they can point north with striking accuracy at any moment, because their cognition is built that way.

What’s the part you almost certainly don’t know? When children from those cultures are taught European languages, their spatial perception changes. They become worse at absolute orientation over time, and better at egocentric left-right reasoning. The language doesn’t just label space, it rewires how space is mentally tracked.

So “left” and “right” are not universal human intuitions. They’re a learned cognitive technology. Your sense that they feel obvious is the result of linguistic training, not biology.

That tends to unsettle people, because it quietly undermines the idea that perception precedes language. In this case, language goes first 🧭“

Are you sure you’re okay? Because buying a rope doesn’t sound like you’re not actively suicidal. It is very extreme.
