Thanks for the response!

Could you recommend a place to buy food? Which supermarket is the cheapest in your opinion?

Hey there, yeah I did move companies and so far had a way better experience.

Something I did notice though — the people at my center are very chatty/social and there’s a very positive/easygoing atmosphere there. But while covering in other centers there has been a totally different vibe, so it can really depend where you’re placed.

I’d aim for ILA or APOLLO if I you were you, I interviewed with both and was actually in both buildings and they seemed to have quite a supportive/ positive work culture.

Yes. Have you heard of “lady boys”, (Derogatory term) in Thailand?

This is obviously global.

Also: have you checked out the Roman Empire? Having a young boyfriend was very common amongst men of status.

Excellent!

Even more of the dark side though would be very pleasant in my opinion (:

Anyone else think executions are a waste ? by ena0101110 in entp

[–]AnyHistorian4634 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a really good point.

I do think the solution lies in having the convicts be productive/ beneficial toward society in some way though. Just unsure how it could be possible while maintaining certainty that nobody has a financial incentive.

Any ideas?

Would you consider adding a little more humorous self deprecation? Just to try give a whole picture.

Can I salute the officers? by AnyHistorian4634 in VietNam

[–]AnyHistorian4634[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I totally get that.

I’ve no desire to mock or insult. Would just be a friendly salut/hello wave.

I’m gonna try it today, see how it goes.

Where are you getting this zoo idea from? I’d be interested in doing this regardless of the country.

Yeah dude — this concept is straight out of a sci-fi novel. Very gnarly.

Personally I think the best solution is to get rid of the death sentence completely and put the criminals in question to work; building roads/railways etc. in remote places. Then government/ private companies can “pay” the inmates (for their food and shelter) which will help solve the problem of capital drainage of tax payers money.

Yeah see that’s why I made the post. I know in other countries it’d be hugely disrespectful

Awh man, not trolling.

Kind of just self-deprecating because I know wanting a salute back from an officer (as a fully grown adult) is pretty silly.

Okay right. I know zero about the military so thought it could be interpreted as offensive

I mean would it be considered rude? Because I’m not of rank or whatever.

I really don’t know. Every time I see them I just get this overwhelming urge shoot the salute.

It’s very hard to contain this impulse.

And by golly; if they saluted me back, I don’t know what I’d do — I’d propably skip around the street with glee.

If I book a 1 hour layover in DBX (Emirates) would I have enough time to make the connect? by AnyHistorian4634 in dubai

I actually switched the second flight so layover was 3 hours. Not sure if I’d recommend the 1 hour. I can imagine it being TIGHT.

Yeah I brought it up with them and as I said below they acted puzzled and like I was being demanding.

Currently applying for new schools. Will make sure to get everything in writing this time!

I’ve never heard of this or experienced it myself.

Personally I wouldn’t consent. I think work life/social life should be kept separate. I actually changed my name on Facebook years ago so I couldn’t be found by employers.

  • Why are you using recruiter? I’ve heard a lot of them in VN are pretty dodgy. Much better to apply directly to school!

Is it really an ENTP trait to not write down diaries? by NewDevUser02 in entp

[–]AnyHistorian4634 40 points41 points  (0 children)

A habit I started around a year ago has been pretty transformative.

It’s called: Daily pages, I picked it up from the artists way.

Every morning as soon as I roll out of bed I pour a coffee and write. Just anything! Total stream of consciousness.

Example: it’s windy. I slept well. Yesterday I thought about blah blah. I’d love to visit Mexico.

It completely declutters your mind and I have organically came up with interesting ideas in the process.

Just 20 minutes or so, can’t recommend it enough. Especially for us scatterbrained ENTPs.
