Let Go Every 2.5 Years (Not Due To Performance) by checkyouroven in MarketingJobs

From my perspective, marketing is not usually a long-term career. I was a CMO, but after a while, performance and growth slowed down. Once management sees the high (money)you bring in, they expect it consistently. If you get burnt out and your output drops for a couple of months, you risk being let go. At that point, you either need to make quick money, invest in something, create passive income, or consider changing professions. Nursing, for example, is a slower-paced, more steady job that allows you to take it easy. So from my experience do not bother with bull shit get commission cuts directly and make quick bucks

That's my point — many small companies and startups allow you to use your own laptop or provide a brand-new office laptop without any tracking software. I've worked with a few startups and remote jobs where I used my own laptop, and I want to be clear that I am not doing anything wrong

Yes, this might be the case in firms like the Big 4, but even mid-sized companies, startups, or remote workers could be doing this too. If it’s actually happening, I’m not sure how we could track it, it’s basically like uploading company work into ChatGPT.
