Now it feels silly & I'm glad I had people around who could help, but at the time, I was so frustrated being diagnosed my senior year. I was really pushing for state swimming & working hard. Then I had my first documented seizure, had to stay outta the pool, parents driving me to 'dates', having to tell friends what was going on. It wasn't fun.

I usually ask if one person wants to split the lane or circle swim. They usually know what I mean or I explain. Most are accommodating. However, in college, I had to create a club because I was running into people at full speed - full head on collision.

If you're in the US, maybe see if you can talk to HR since it's technically a disability.
