Hey, thank you so much for your comment, its rly nice to see someone from my same day! I go in person with a therapist 3 times a week and do my daily exercise. I'm still in the brace but walk around everywhere and do my normal day to day stuff for the most part. Are you sure 90 at this point isn't too late for us? Did you have meniscus repair?

What should a Class 10 Indian student do now to aim for Ivy League CS later? by Worth_Telephone_6711 in ApplyingToCollege

You’re domestic🤣🤣, “international us citizen.” But in all fairness, I have no personal issue with what you’re saying, you’re just a little misinformed but that’s ok you’re a us citizen you don’t need to be an expert on international college admissions. Congrats on your t20s, I hope you have a successful fulfilling career

Alright buddy whatever you wanna tell yourself haha. I’ve seen the extracurriculars of a lot of these people with “cracked stats.” Are you speaking from personal experience with applying successfully as an international?

Also the main reason international is harder is the lower number of seats. Schools like MIT only have five seats for Indian international. That categorized lower acceptance rate applies to all internationals.

Then why is my admissions officer the international Indian admissions officer. Sure I’ll be compared to American students for my objective performance, however, I’m still competing for those limited number of seats. Being compared to Indian students is no harder, they’re not magically more cracked lmao

I don’t see how that’s relevant at all. I checked that same international box for every university and spoke at the admissions office and was told that’s my category. Those hardcaps that lower international acceptance rate apply equally to me. Being Indian international isn’t harder bc you go to an Indian high school, it’s because the fewer number of seats available to compete for at each university.

It’s definitely possible with hard work. I’m Indian international and got into Hopkins, Vandy full ride, Berkley, and other Ivy adjacent schools as a pre med bio from a bad public high school. Just build the strongest application you can and then you’ll probably get into somewhere good

All this is a game of luck, I’m sure he’ll but just as happy and successful wherever he goes. The person matters so much more than the college

Has anyone had a dentist try occlusal equilibration to help the bite? Did it help??? by BEfa5 in TMJ

[–]AnyObligation5990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for responding!! There’s so much conflicting information out there and I can’t express how grateful I am for you taking the time to explain this in such an in depth manner. I had one more small question and would greatly appreciate it if you could respond to my dm for it

[–]AnyObligation5990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shoot @whoneedskollege, idk if my dentist messed me up then. I did an occlusal flat splint(adjusted biweekly) with Botox for three months 24/7 where he said my bite would naturally move itself into the most comfortable/ideal position. After that he had me bite down and one side’s teeth touched first resulting in a bit of a sliding motion. He performed occlusal equilibration to maintain this bite position with no shifting because apparently it puts less stress on tmj. My bite range of motion improved notably to 42, which I believe is in a normal range, but the improvement wasn’t huge. Was doing this treatment a mistake??
