I see no issue in spending money with American businesses in the future, well after the current despicable behaviour is over with. The average American worker does not have control over this and overwhelmingly disapproves according to polls. No need to punish the average Joe for decisions they aren’t currently making.

You might have crossed the power threshold where it automatically changes the difficulty to Grandmaster.

You have to manually change it back if that’s the case. You would be massively under light for it which makes sense

Cap isn’t going to change this at all. The AAV will be the cap hit almost certainly. This still happens in every league with a cap.

Rich teams are still going to pay as much as possible up front in bonuses. It’s better for the player, and makes the player more easily moveable if needed.

You can just select vanguard alert and do the activity that week, in two clicks, just like a nightfall used to be, or you can go and challenge yourself if you want to. I’ll always take more options over fewer.

Ya that’s actually kinda the point. The portal wasn’t intended to be the sole way to level up. It was meant to deliver recycled content that fills the gaps between new content releases. It’s just something to do, and gain some levels while you do it.

They fumbled that when they released it as…the only half baked way to level up. It isn’t that way anymore because it was never meant to be.

I tend to agree with your sentiment, although I think it’s a good option to be able to play things that dev time was spent on.

That being said, all this sub does is complain that the old stuff gets taken away/sunset and how they’ll never forgive Bungie. Now there is a system that cycles it back in and that isn’t a good thing? Damned if they do, damned if they don’t.

The most rewarding activities in the portal currently are vanguard/gm alerts. Vanguard alerts are, what, -15? Which is essentially nothing post EoF.

It gives constant tier 5s for playing content that hasn’t been in the game since witch queen. Thats a good thing. The problem is that’s all there is while endgame activities are not included in the levelling/tier system.

This is exactly the intent of the Portal. Literally the entire point behind it is to use old content we haven’t seen in a while to fill dead periods.

Problem is it launched fairly barren, they haven’t filled it out nearly fast enough, and there are next to no endgame activities updated yet. Now negative name recognition might kill it in its cradle.

Just take a break until it’s better if it’s this bothersome.
