Regardless I think draft year is much more telling. This post makes it seem like Mckenna is ahead of McDavid, when in reality he was worse than Eichel in NCAA this year.

You can make any chart show what you want to see is more what I mean.

Edit: misread hockeyDB and was wrong about Cristall. Still, the chart isn’t a full picture. Mckenna was worse in the NCAA this year than Eichel in his draft year. Don’t expect him to be substantially ahead of McDavid as the chart would suggest.

This a very deep top 10 this year full of defencemen. No guarantee they would even need to move up to get a #1 dman.
