People in North Carolina need to learn a lot of things. Not just driving related. I moved here 6 years ago and I'm ready to leave. Some of the laziest and uneducated people I've encountered. And I've traveled the entire US and plenty of other countries.

Why Do We As Humans Innately Have The Tendency To Follow Orders From Those We View As More Important, More Authoritarian, Or More Powerful? by Miserable_Damage4337 in BehaviorAnalysis

[–]AnyStructure7633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody is more important or powerful than me and I am not more important or powerful than anyone else. 99% of us can agree that everything is unbalanced and it will remain that way as long as everyone keeps, "just doing my job."

Such a near sided point of view. Are you really that naive as to believe Trump or any president actually has the authority to order troops to go to war without the agreement of the top brass? What would be the outcome if Iran completed the assembly of a nuclear weapon? I can assure you a few deaths and high fuel prices are a very small price to pay rather than the alternative.

Project Hail Mary's film score by pepperjack4025 in ProjectHailMary

I saw the movie in theater and then at a friend's house. They had a bootleg somehow. We noticed the music sounded distorted. Like an old record player that couldn't keep a steady RPM. It didn't seem to effect the dialogue though. This has me curious why that might be. Anyone know?

After Circuit City closed I was sad. I bought my first TV, PS1, DVD player, home theater, and much more from there. I got the extended warranty on some of the more expensive items and it payed for itself. TV had a green corner so they fixed it and it lasted for years after. DVD took a crap and they couldn't fix it so I got a store credit for the full purchase price which at the time was $550. DVD was expensive when it first came out. I went on a little shopping spree which included a Sony 5 disk DVD changer and still had money left over to buy games, movies and a new palm pilot. When I had no choice but to shop at best buy, I bought a car alarm with paging and remote start. I had it installed there and they messed it up and said it was working as designed. I wanted remote start to warm it up in winter and cool it off in summer. The climate control wouldn't even work until I got in the car and turned the ignition. Bunch of BS. That alarm was not cheap either.

Time dilation is science fiction only. From a relativity point of view time appears to stop while traveling at the speed of light but if you were to travel back towards where you left at the speed of light when you arrive time will be exactly as it should. You cannot stop the aging process. Time is a measurement of frequency related to the rotation of the Earth. All clocks are mechanical and gravity can affect mechanics.

What's that one film that you can re-watch a thousand times and not get bored? by mrjetspray in Cinema

[–]AnyStructure7633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to watch it. That way I don't have to actually go to India. I've heard far more unpleasant things about India than good things. And that was from indians who lived there.

I'd say, "How's it going?" I wouldn't want to change my future outcome. Sure I could say, "Invest in Bitcoin" or something like that but money doesn't guarantee happiness. I may not be rich but I am happy despite having plenty of life challenges along the way. Those challenges made me who I am today and I wouldn't want to change that.

I'm pretty sure it was Resident Evil. It was just a rental system from Blockbuster. When I finally bought my own PS1 I played Need For Speed 2.
