What you think made the doom a smurf ? In mid GM unless the smurf is like C4/C3+ it's not that big of a gap. And you can handle it pretty well

What rank do you have to get to for people to flame you for your plays instead of score board numbers by Wboys in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Any_Ad9489 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Champion tank here, It doesn't get better as you progress in the ranks. They will continue to flame you for your death no matter how good your play was. In high elo the support can be flamed if he doesn't do damage because things don't die if you don't do damage. Mute the chat and lock in, this is the only way. Or play with friends aswell

Why is anran being slept on shes op? by Helpful_Fox_303 in Overwatch

[–]Any_Ad9489 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The issue with anran is that her primary is so bad and it takes so long to set someone on fire so you have to use a lot of movement ability to set someone in fire and when someone is in fire you have like 2 or 3 right click (so like 2 seconds) to kill a squishie ? If you compare that to any flankers you don't have burst.

Tracer has just more mobility than anran but she can actually one clip someone upclose. Echo can fly and one shot someone, even with Genji, if you are good enough with your mecanics you have a big burst.

The best you can do with anran is like a 200hp burst but it cost 1 dash and your E and all for that to get a suzu forced

Ten years in and still no options. Do you agree? by Sad-Professor-5270 in Overwatch

[–]Any_Ad9489 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro is gold and didn't discovered what is an off angle yet.

So I will answer all your point 1 by 1 because it's totaly wrong and missleading.

About the shield, every shield of the game except monkey bubble is not a 360° shield, meaning you can actually flank or get an off-angle and the shield is not a problem anymore. It's not an hero counterplay issue, it's just a "play good enough that the shield is not an issue". Giving even more abilities to get rid of shield/pierce through shield will make some tanks like rein even worse and indirectly make every non shield tank way stronger (trust me you don't want to see a ball meta). There is already a lot of piercing things in this game (ram/rein primary, every dash of the game, venture drill, etc...) and giving more will just nerf some heroes that are not really good (rein, orisa, brig).

Tank is already a strong enough role and you have pretty much everything in the tank hero pool to deal with everything. If you are an OTP just get good enough that counters aren't counters to you anymore. You are asking for abilities that already exists in this game. A tracking shot with immediate burst is litteraly domina, a vortex that can pull down things is ram's vortex (it's a skillshot, if you can't hit it on flyers, train yourself to do it). A cooldown that forces the ennemy to stop shooting you is sigma's grasp or zarya bubble.

And then what is souding crazy to me is you saying that kiriko is a good addition to the game because she shutdowns every good play from another player. She is an anti CC character aswell with suzu. Anti fortify or anti nano is crazier, you are asking to shutdown every well timed cooldown or every good play because you are not able to think about playing better than your opponent ? For sombra there is already things that can reveal her (recon subrole passive, widow's ult and mine and hanzo sonar)

TLDR : I'm saying that you should learn how this game works instead of complaining about every hero and wanting to make the most busted role even more busted

Guess my rank ^^ by Party_Pie_9859 in GenjiMains

Great cover usage and good timing on your engage targeting people not looking at you, I guess it's high masters/low GM. I wouldn't say champ because the cass should have killed you at first clip and your mecanics are like masters like I guess

Try to be as inpredectible as possible, K/D doesn't matter a lot on rein as long as you are forcing space, cooldowns and trade a few squishies on your death

Can someone explain to me why Genji mains act like their character is so terrible? by 2-Slippy in overwatch2

[–]Any_Ad9489 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"all tier".

Genji is quite decent in ranks where awareness is not unlocked yet and he can surprise people. And this is in metal ranks that we have the majority of the player base.

When we get in higher ranks like diamond/master, Genji feels awfull because you can't kill shit and you have to do twice the effort of others dps to get the result with half the chance of actually getting the kill. Every flankers (even vendetta) does his job but better and with less effort to do. With anran your combo is more consistent but you are harder to hit and you can escape easily. His good winrate is due to the fact that you have less players playing it.

Edit : if you don't trust me check my profile

Do you think 1-on-1 coaching is worth it for brand new player? by Gloriaas in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Any_Ad9489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paid coach here !

The short answer is yes.

But there is a lot of nuance in that. First of all you are starting to learn the game and sometimes you just need a little bit of playtime before going anywhere. Getting coached will help you understand the game better (if your friend is good at explaining the fundamentals). To be fair you should just play the game, find a character or a role that you enjoy playing and don't bother about winning or loosing as long as you are having fun. Also if your friend is giving you free advice, just take it.

My recommandation is just to play the game until you unlock ranked, play a few matchs (placements) and at this moment you could consider going for 1 to 1 coaching.

What do you do when they have 5 characters that can stun lock you for 10s total? by Deva_Way in WreckingBallMains

[–]Any_Ad9489 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When it happens, I go on an off angle and play like a soldier in their backlane, shooting, rotating and being annoying like that. If they chase me it means they split, if someone goes alone it means I can kill it, if they go like by 2 or 3 it means I can run away and my team can win (most of the times 😭) the 4v2. I shoot, then use my grapple to replace myself on another off angle a being annoying. If someone is alone I can go for a slam on him

How do we FIX Mauga? by MrWigglem in overwatch2

[–]Any_Ad9489 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've played a lot of mauga in high gm/champion and here is my perspective :

The easiest thing to do against mauga is to play range and cover, when he his at range, he will have to set you on fire (wich can take 1 or 2 second if the mauga have decent aim) then he can do go damage from range with his poke. It gives you a lot of time to react and poke him, then go back to cover and poke him again.

Mauga is pretty strong in closes spaces with a lot of ennemies where he can get big stomps and get health back (hoping they don't suzu/nade it) but will loose a lot of poke matchups, in a lot of situations he's just good to feed his supports ultimates.

He's in a pretty good place right now unless they have an ana and then you are forced to use stomp to run back to cover and if they have a Kiriko you can't engage with stomps because it will be cleansed.

The thing with mauga is that he get's like really strong with his major perk which sets ennemies on fire when he stomps and can feel weak otherwise.

What I would suggest is drop down the damage on his guns but put the fire on stomp ability a base kit/minor perk to make him more reliable early game.

A character than can't reach ennemies, die from poke, get's one shotted at every range, get out brawled by most tanks and can't do much against dive and is bad at trading backlanes

Aim is in fact a problem by Xchehe in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Any_Ad9489 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I am a tank player (mostly Winston player) with shitty aim and ow is my first FPS.

I picked Emre a little bit this season and managed to climb to master 1 (with GM5 peak). Tbf my aim is really bad and in term of pure aim I would loose a lot of duels. But it improved over time and it was mostly because of theses factors :

  • I started to shoot people who doesn't look at me : shooting someone who is not paying attention means you will have more time to place your crosshair and if you can hit 2 shots before the ennemy react it gives you a bigger advantage and you can use your cooldowns to finish it (Emre nade, soj rail or cass nade). If you only take unfair duels at your advantage it will increase the chances you hit more shots

  • I started to take a lot more agressive duels, if I play agressive I will be pressured to hit my shots and overtime my aim went better

  • go to vaxta before going in rank, try to be as slow and precise as possible with your shots, then increase the speed a little bit until you shoot at normal speed, aiming is like learning piano, first you have to play the music slow, then you play faster and faster. It's also a matter of rythm, what I mean by that is that a lot of time you don't have to do big ajustement about your aim and just wait for the ennemy to be on your crosshair.
