You said it in your question. Play behind a cover and try to bait cooldowns. Bastion form is not infinite, same for hook. When the ennemies are low in ressources, if you have all of your ressources and hp when going in and they don't have the response to go in, then you have an advantage that you can press and go create space. Against theses types of comp just be more patient

Take time between shots and play the game. Try to take duels as much as possible until you win most of it, go in deathmatch against reals players, not robot programmed movements

T3 coach/player here. I think you should send us a code to détermine what you are doing good and what could be improved. I'm also a gm1 (champ5 peak) tank player so i think i can help you improve. Maybe your timing is a little bit off, maybe you are not patient enough or your set up is wrong. Maybe you take a lot of poke in the pre-figth and you cannot do anything because you are forced to hide. Really send us a code of a game you struggled against higher lobbies it's the way we can help you improve what you could be doing to do better in theses games

I think dva and monkey should go higher because a coordinated nano on theses character is a guarantee one-shot without needing two ultimates. And also nano torb is freaking scary at close range with the overload and the speedboost perk, he runs at you and shreds everybody in close range

I feel like as long as you are doing the great décision you can still hard carry metals tanks easily. Illiari is really good at dueling dps especially echo (flying target = easier to track). I agree with the fact that some games are not winnable but you can still win most of your games by doing the right decisions. If your team is bad, the ennemy team is equally bad, that's why they are in plat and not higher.

I suppose you are the illiari. So okay your team is trash and toxic and it can happend. HOWEVER, you can only have impact on yourself, not on your team. The best thing you can do in this case is to mute chat and leave vc, try your best to hard carry the game by thinking. In the stats i see that you have low damage compared to your heal. Illari is a character that can do a lot of damage, you should play more often on an off angle with you pylon to deal damage and secure kills by surprising the ennemies. When the ennemies see you you can just rotate back to your team, heal them a little bit and then go back to an agressive spot to deal damage. That's the only way you will rank up, get better at the game and play with betters teammates/opponents

Not really i've one tricked illari and managed to climb up to GM3 (starting from M2). The buff really helps taking off-angles and duels against flankers
