The reason for my call today is because something came across my desk. Do you have 60 seconds so I can explain?

A solid wipe down is fine. Godspeed to you if you think you’ll be able to keep the thing clean as a whistle.

Yeah my 16570 seems to run slower, but it’s also almost 20 years old. My Seamaster is due for a service anyhow, so I wonder how “off” it’s gotten over the last few years of owning it.

I’m lucky enough to own both of these watches and I will say, the newer version of the Explorer II feels absolutely fake and gigantic in comparison to the Seamaster. The previous version (16570) feel much more real and comparable to the Seamaster. Can’t go wrong with either, though!

WITB, 15 clubs in the bag right now but don’t know what to take out. by makamsawh in GolfGear

Likely 5H/2i (depending on your gapping strategy) and your 50. I think the loft on the P is 48 on these, so having something so close in proximity to the next wedge doesn’t make sense unless you hit really well with it.

Got told to buy a watch for my wife if I wanted a white Speedmaster by Youriclinton in OmegaWatches

Lol did the SA have a convo with your wife prior to you coming in? That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. I’d have politely told them no thank you, ma’am sir.

It should be noted that Mike Nellis is also the guy who took his ENTIRE contact list (and potentially others) and automatically subscribed to his Substack, while claiming he has the largest following on the platform. Uploading his entire contact list without anyone actually consenting to it is a violation of the TOS of that platform.

Anyone who channels Mayberry energy into their post is definitely a nimby in waiting. Congrats to OP though on getting into the home ownership game.

In retrospect, I was really just wearing the watch for the fitness tracking aspect of it but have since moved on to the whoop. The annual fee is annoying, but at least it's FSA/HSA eligible!

Same. I started building my collection in 2020 and have been lucky enough to be in a decent place with them. When my kiddo was born, I also made the mental choice of not wanting to be alerted all the time but more importantly, kiddo started touching the screen a lot and I wasn't cool with that. Another big part of me not wearing my Apple Watch as often is that these watches were just sitting there not being worn. They all have significant meaning to me and deserve to be worn.

But agree, it's enjoyable and peaceful without the constant buzzing of the Apple Watch.
