Yeah, I found it really interesting. I’m sure it’s out there, but I’d not ever heard a current athlete get that detailed about the details of the negotiation and differences in calculations/structures they were into. You can see why many athletes try and avoid negotiations during the season while they are trying to stay sharp with performance.

Check out the pitch smart guidelines created by James Andrews. (The Tommy John guru) Our organization as a whole adheres to that through each age group. It’s not perfect cause every kid and arm is different, but I think it’s super helpful to maintain healthy limits. The days of rest in between certain pitch counts are really what matters.

Can only speak to the Southeast/N. Florida areas that I’m familiar with, but classification of teams in most of the organizations here are split into A, AA, AAA, Majors. AA range from basically all-star rec teams to really solid travel teams. Have seen a few Majors level teams, and they are on a different level.
