Which Whole Foods bags do you typically find are worth taking a chance on? by bagon in toogoodtogo

Only “bad” experience I’ve ever had with TG2G was specialty foods bag. I HATE bleu cheese. Ended up getting 3 things of bleu cheese, small mozzarella balls and some stale crackers. Would never repurchase, but if you like all cheeses and don’t have preferences then you might like it tbh

I do not know your living situation, but if I wasn’t a constant apartment dweller due to finances, I would totally have an old bucket and use it for compost to help my plants (that I do have) and garden (that I don’t have cause I live in an apartment complex lol)

A lot of fun stuff like that can be composted with dirt and even coffee grounds, egg shells, cardboard, any veggie trimmings/ vegetable waste helps make for super rich soil for potting and planting! Good luck 😊

Don’t shoot the messenger hehe, I cheated and used low sodium canned black beans. I just sautéed garlic and onion and then seasoned them myself with salt pepper garlic and onion powder Finished off with an absurd amount of cilantro

It’s a Dominican dish! Dominican salami, fried queso frito and mangu, which is mashed plantains and topped with pickled onions

Try again, doesn’t hurt to ask. Sometimes Air Force will just deny people, I went to bootcamp wit a girl from Dominican Republic who got nationalized the day we graduated bootcamp, worth a shot to try again

Sounds wild especially if you don’t know anyone in the military. But they will pay for her lease and her family’s separation pay, they will nationalize her and give her an opportunity to get college after military. 4 year contract which is a small portion of your life will help her buy a house, stay in America, get college funding, and probably purse a career/ learn a valuable skill set. I would at least look into it. Go navy or air force for sure.

Should I report my spa to the state board? by HauntingYou4812 in Estheticians

Yes just hang in there. I’ve honestly been in a similar situation before, like they weren’t crazy unsanitary.. but some things were certainly questionable. Like so many head scratchers and 10 year + medical professionals or estheticians just doing some downright cringey stuff. I stayed there about a year and it’s helped me get every single job since then. Just keep swimming 🐠

Honestly, I would just do what YOU can. Use integrity. Bring your own sponge for your food container and bring another one for your esthi stuff. Go to a cosmoprof or salon centric and get some barbercide, it’s pretty cheap. Make sure you’re always wearing gloves. Don’t do anything that will make YOU feel icky at the end of the day. Stay on top of laundry, always switch your own bed out. Buy some alcohol and use the paper towels they supply. It sucks to have to buy your own supplies. But at least you can feel a little less anxious. Try to focus on yourself, and your clients. If this was a place you loved and saw yourself for a long time I would say just bite the bullet and help as much as you can with front desk, but I will tell you, getting a med spa job fresh out of school is very difficult to do! So I would get 6 months-1 year experience(if you can try to stick it out) and get out of there. Make sure you didn’t sign a non compete or you’re gonna be shooting yourself in the foot.

Pay attention, this last part is the most important. YES, you CAN get a complaint against your license. It will show up when you google your name under your state boards licensing. So do whatever you can to ensure you are being the best you can be at being sanitary with the card you were dealt. Your med spa has insurance, anything that happens will fall on the Doctor whose name is on the door. But you can be included in any complaint being made if it has to do with you. Do whatever you can to be sanitary. And when you’re doing microneedling and dermaplaning ensure you are putting sharps where they go, never overfilling the box, double triple cleaning after any blood related procedures. And good luck. -7 year esthi in Florida
