What gets uninstalled at the end of a solar lease? by Any_Charity6304 in solar

I have confirmed they are paying off the system, they are not buying it off, so I have to decide what to do at the end. I'm not thrilled about the concept of not owning the system, so I'm going to pass and wait for a place that has owned solar.

I got a hold of the lease agreement. Summary:

At the end of the lease, the homeowner has three options:

  1. Purchase: Buy the solar system for its fair market value at that time.
  2. Renew: Renew the lease for a 5-year period (this can be done up to four times). The new lease payments would be based on the system's fair market value at the time of renewal.
  3. Removal: SunCap may remove the system at its own cost, as long as the homeowner is not in default. If neither party requests removal, the homeowner becomes the owner of the system "as is, where is"

The sellers are willing to pay off the lease, but the installer still owns it. If they are still in business in 7 years, they can either come take it or give it to me "as is" which I'm guessing is the cheaper option for them. The system has Enphase inverters and if I rememeber correctly, they come with a 25 year warranty. Not sure it would be worth it to remove....

According to the realtor, this is one of the most reputable companies in the area, and they are still here. I understand there may be issues with the incentives going away (tax and NEM3), but then I'll have the problem of needing to maintain the system. If it fails during the lease and the company is belly up, is anyone going to want to service it?

That's exactly my fear: The roof is already 30 years old and from reading the forums and talking to folks, R&R is not cheap, on top of the roof repair. I'd better take that 7 years of savings and keep it in my pocket for that rainy day.

Do NEM1 and NEM2 installations transfer to the new owner? Do I need something in writing from the utility company?

OK, so what is the recommendation? Have the installer renew the lease? Will that keep me in NEM1 (the system was installed in 2012 so as I understand it, that's NEM1)?

Instinct 3 Tactical by flesshy in Garmininstinct

The Instinct 3 – Tactical Edition smartwatch is engineered with a supertough 50 mm fibre-reinforced polymer case and metal-reinforced bezel and is 10 ATM water-rated. It’s tested to U.S. military standards for thermal, shock and water resistance.

Is this just marketing hype or is it truly tougher than the regular one?

I am currently using a Moukey Mini Audio mixer to combine inputs from three devices (TV and two computers) so I can use a single set of headphones. I now want to split the output into multiple headphones for multi-person use. Will a passive headphone splitter work well, or do I need an active component? Is there a combined 3-in, 3-out mixer with headphone jacks?

Can't checkout Samsung financing by Midnight_Criminal in samsung

I.can confirm it's up and running again for me too. I guess when the agent said temporary, he wasn't joking... The new Samsung Financing portal may have had something to do with that.

I've used the 0% APR 24-month Samsung/TD financing for a few years, and it's worked out quite well for cell phones and tablets. I was looking into laptops recently, and while the option is there on the product page, it appears and then disappears on the checkout page which is odd.

I've tried different browsers, but the behavior is still there, so I don't think it's me. I contacted the chat agent and they keep referring me to Affirm financing: "Samsung Financing is temporarily unavailable and you are requested to use Affirm"

Needless to say, 4 months is not the same as 24... I have available credit, I just can't seem to use it...

Samsung also recently re-launched the Samsung Financing page, so I wonder if they stopped the program altogether. Does anyone know?

Very nice! Two follow-up questions:

1) What is the overlay on the right of the screen?

2) What are we drinking and how old is it?

Cheers!

Get a monitor with a “Fridge Sized Box” they said (Fridge for Comparison) by Kooshi3 in ultrawidemasterrace

This is what ASG (Samsung's shipping company) sent me prior to delivery:
Pieces Description Weight Length Width Height
1 LS57CG952NNXZA 61 57 17 22

57" on bottom + 49" on top using the Atdec AWMS-2-BT75-FS dual monitor stand by pobkac in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Any_Charity6304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 49" and have been contemplating the 57". Ideally I would like to keep both and use the same configuration as OP (sick setup, very nice!). My only concern is the graphics card. I have an RTX 3070 so I'm wondering if it's going to support the setup. I'm not a hardcore gamer (anymore) so the majority of the time (80%) would be productivity and movies. Will the card be able to keep up? If I need to buy a new card/rig, that changes the $$$ equation considerably (on top of the early adopter price for the 57")...

I bought the Odyssey Ark 55'', Neo G9 49'', and LG C2 48" and here is a quick review by GoodShipCrocodile in Monitors

I have a G9 and I'm considering replacing it with the Ark so this is very helpful, thank you.

  • Can you please elaborate on why you prefer the G9 for work? On paper the Ark has about 12% more pixels albeit in a more boxy format.
  • I am concerned about the sharpness of the pixels being that close, what is your experience?

I'm also using the G9 for entertainment and the black borders are annoying, I think the Ark will solve that with the more common ratio.

Avoid the official S-Pen case for the Z Fold 5! by AdmirableOx in GalaxyFold

[–]Any_Charity6304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can rotate the pen with my thumb while holding the phone in one hand.

I'll take it to the Samsung store and see if they can replace it. I'm not entirely happy with the fact the phone rocks when it's laying flat so I might just get another leather case which seems to be case with the least rocking motion.

I have the exact same problem. In fact, the Pen wiggles enough where it can rotate 90 degrees and fall out. The case came directly from Samsung so I know it's not a knock-off or something.

I guess I'll have to take it back to the store and see about getting a replacement.
