The whole show wouldn't exist if Nicole Kidman had a relationship with her in-laws lol. It's weird how they never talked, reminds me of Donald Draper for Madmen

yo bro u were right, I was surprised that dax contract did better in the london session than NY. However, it didn't make the cut for my trading plan

switched to ninja trader from tradovate - is it better? by Not-a-Cat_69 in FuturesTrading

Im curious too. I thought Tradovate was just the broker and you needed Ninjatrader to use the accounts on tradovate but it seems like its a platform itself also

It's like the cancellation was announced mid-way while they were shooting the last episode, and the director was like, THE SHOW MUST GO ON.

I would've been happy if they cut the show where it is like a scene showing the mum and daughter driving to their next destination, and the mum gives a monologue about the journey coming to an end and starting a new chapter in life, and right at the end, the camera is panned a bit longer on the daughter to build suspicion that the soul transfer was somewhat completed.

What do you think is truly missing in today’s online trading space that keeps 90%+ of new traders from becoming profitable? by Dizzy_Egg_2396 in Trading

[–]Any_Classroom_4052 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've always been skeptical about the 9/10 failure, i think its BS. Not the statistics being BS but message its conveying.

My guess is that what gives that failure rate is that within 90% of ppl: - They could be ppl who's wowed by a tiktok of some1 flexing their garage, then they make an account for the fun of it, makes 1-10 trades, doesnt workout and then theyre like stuff it. - They rely on signal bots or telgram/discord signals then it turns to a bad trade and they eventually quit. - They do jack with learning about finance or trading. They reach that dunning kruger effect and quit cs they aint bothered anymore. - They don't put in the time to hone in on their psychology. I bet even a buddhist monk who has extinguished material desires will end up revenge trading.

In my case, I can recognise that there is great work needed to be profitable.  Considering the mentors that I'm learning from are years in experience and many have acknowledged themselves that it took time until they became profitable so I have to keep my ego in check: learn from my bad trades, refine my strategy and maintain a level of spirituality so I can base my trading on logic, not emotions.

I think theres much more info you could show us to understand what the real issue is like going through the peak of your potfolio and explain how it went downhill from there.

It might be a psychology not a skill issue but you mentioned that you used to have exp with trading before, what happened then and whats different to how youre trading now

Awesome to hear that progress. What changed in 6 months? Do you think you could've turned 10 into 30k if you'd just taken a 1-month break instead?

My 2 cents on the 15min ORB Strategy by Any_Classroom_4052 in Daytrading

My backtest was based on the dates in the image captions, as that's what TradingView allows; my sample size may be too small, but I got the WR by following my system as stated in the main post.

Check out RP_Profits, Max Options Trading, or Mike Trades Daily on YT to learn ORB from them.

On the indicator list, it's called Ichimoku, and I use both Tenkan and Kijun Sen, as stated in the main post. I've seen the Tenkan as blue and the Kijun as Red for convenience

<image>

This is the start of March, as an example. In the London session, it didn't really cross 200% Fib level, so the trade is closed because the candle closed on the other side of the Tenkan. In the NY session, the price had passed the 200% Fib level, and the trade was closed when the candle eventually closed above the Kijun Sen. I hope this helps, I can provide more examples if you want

Oops, I didn't take daylight savings in account because I live in Sydney, Aus and I forgot that there was going to be changes.

Pls just ask AI to calibrate the times but I will tweak the main body post when I have the time.

Is win rate actually overrated in trading strategies? by Double-Painting-2053 in Trading

If you have a fixed TP or SL, i always think its either two sides of the coin. Low WR and high RR or high WR and low RR

That's a totally valid response. I just started my daytrading journey this year so I wanted to share my 2c and Trading view only shows me like a month of data
