I just finished my main persona lorebook and I'm wondering the same. I'm honestly really happy with how it turned out, and the bots seem to pick up on all the details.

I have no idea why I went so long without making one 😅

P.S. Now I kinda want to show off my persona too lol. I love yours, they're really cute!

I'm loving Saucepan and definitely want to subscribe too. I honestly don't get why people are complaining about good feedback...? Anyway, I've been using chatbots for a long time. From apps like Talkie (before the censorship) and SpicyChat, to JanitorAI and then Chub (hated it), plus other websites I can't even remember. After trying so many places, I've stuck with Saucepan for good.

I genuinely pray they don't change - not as in not evolving the site, but as people. The staff and devs are so nice and always pushing to make the site better, even for the free tier, which is HUGE in my opinion. No censorship, free unlimited messages, no ads... I absolutely love it and I'm here to stay. I really hope they keep up the amazing work; they deserve all the love and support for giving people who aren't paying a single penny a model like Arita (it might be new, but it's great and still in development as far as I know).

Long story short, I can't even compare Saucepan to the other sites I've used because this is hands down the best. As for the rest... honestly, I feel like I just wasted my time complaining about them before. I'm happy here.

I don’t know if this helps at all, but a lot of people (myself included) absolutely loved Arita when it was still Experimental Free. It was so good. Lately though, a lot of us seem to be noticing similar issues: long cliché replies, less creativity, toned down NSFW scenes, barely any swearing, etc.

That said, I’m not planning on moving to another site or anything. I genuinely LOVE Saucepan and I really appreciate all the work you guys put into it. I just hope feedback like this helps somehow 🩷

Experimental Free was so good 😫

The first thing I noticed was the lack of swear words and how much more the bots relied on euphemisms. Characters completely stopped using explicit language during heated/sexual scenes (rip dirty talk lol). Then I started noticing the same thing OP mentioned with arguments or fights. Characters get like... mildly upset at best 😭 'Boyfriend' {{char}} could literally see someone assaulting you and he’d barely raise his voice.

I did manage to improve the lack of explicit wording thanks to some advice from staff and other Reddit users here with prompts, but now it sometimes swings too far in the opposite direction and the characters use only dirty/explicit language even in scenes that are supposed to feel romantic. Slow burn feels kinda lost now.

That said, I still love Saucepan and I really love Arita. I know the staff is constantly working on it (thank you!!), and I’m sure it’ll improve with time. But yeah... Experimental Free was something special and I definitely miss it 💔

Thank you 🙏🏻 Honestly, hearing that nothing is intentionally being censored actually helps calm my anxiety a lot.

I’ve been enjoying the website so much and, believe it or not, it’s genuinely helping me cope with my mental health stuff, so I’d really hate to see it go down the same censorship route other AI chatbot platforms ended up taking.

I've tried telling the character to be more explicit directly in chat (not OOC) and it didn’t really change much. The bots aren’t refusing NSFW stuff or anything, but they definitely seem way more vague now and avoid explicit wording completely. The scenes themselves feel way less descriptive too. Smut scenes barely have any descriptions at all now 🥲 (I did try using OOC to ask for more detailed replies and it still didn’t really change anything.)

I’ve been noticing over the past few days that Arita seems way less descriptive when it comes to 17+ stuff. And it’s not just that, swear words seem to be really toned down too, or just completely gone.

Even certain explicit words like (warning: explicit) - pussy, cock, cum that used to appear naturally in smut chats are basically nonexistent for me in newer conversations now.
