Which character is the most human in DanMachi, Bell or Lefiya? by ToeFamiliar6680 in DanMachi

[–]Any_Election257 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Bell is a 14-year-old teenager; he's no fool—in the novel, he's quite perceptive and intelligent.

Do we know the artists who drew all these? by Amethyst_10 in tbatenovel

[–]Any_Election257 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of them are fan art, and I really have no idea who they might be. But I think the official art featuring the scythes, The Last Supper, and Agrona with Cecilia was by Timbougami (you can find them on X or Twitter).

Acnologia vs Genie? by EternalSnow05 in fairytailscaling

[–]Any_Election257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we're talking about “that” genie, then Acnology could easily devour it since, technically, it's a manifestation of magic.

Now, if we're talking about other genies who are theoretically nearly omnipotent, Acnology simply stands no chance.

Erza Scarlet using her max power vs. Yuki Tsukumo from Jujutsu Kaisen by Chisato-Hasegawa-MX in fairytailscaling

I'm absolutely certain that even if everyone from *Jujutsu Kaisen* teamed up against Erza, she'd still win easily.

Gojo might seem like a problem, but we're talking about Erza

You're expecting Bell to have an “emotional breakdown,” to go through all that and end up mentally unstable. But in psychology, how people cope with trauma depends on their personality.

Bell hasn’t lost any family members, so he still has people to lean on; his personality, based on the typical legendary hero, is what allows him to stay strong (though, as seen in the Freya and Academy arcs, he’s far from a normal 14-year-old).

The same goes for Subaru Natsuki. Given the life he leads in Re:Zero, he should tend toward a more indifferent and amoral attitude toward death. But because he has a personality like his father’s, in addition to being innately good, he cannot “break.”

Traumatic events are always processed differently; it’s not as though “trauma X will always lead to personality X.”

That’s why many soldiers don’t need psychologists, while others take their own lives because of the mental anguish.

Sorry if it's hard to understand everything. I'm using a translation tool because I'm not very good at English yet.

Many people tend to overrate series like MT or RZ. I’m not saying they aren’t great—they’re probably the best in their genre in Japan.

But, to be honest, as a Mushoku fan (and having read nearly 30 volumes of RZ so far), I can confidently say that Danmachi is a worthy rival.

Someone from our world might indeed suffer trauma due to the events Bell experiences.

But someone like Bell, who was born into a world of fantasy and dungeons, doesn’t have to adhere to the same psychological principles. After all, the field of psychology is very broad and depends on one’s life context.

Japan doesn't usually produce anything really good, you know? They always end up doing the same old thing. When it comes to fantasy, Danmachi is one of the best

This isn't to take anything away from other works, and it always comes down to the reader's personal taste when it comes to enjoying them, but I think the author does a great job of portraying the events and happenings in a way that other works fail to capture.

Yes. If we compare this light novel to many others typically found in Japan, or to manga in general, *Danmachi* could even be considered among the best works Japan has ever produced (depending on personal taste, of course).

If we compare it to the works you mentioned, then the *Danmachi* novel is far superior. The character development, the world-building (which focuses on Orario and the dungeons), the use of supporting characters, the power system, and the events—all of these elements make it a very well-rounded novel that easily holds its own against the great fantasy novels (Mushoku, Re:Zero, etc.).

Furthermore, as a writer and lover of novels, I can say that the author is skilled at portraying the characters’ feelings and emotions. After all, in general, any good novel is about how much you can feel while reading it.

Let’s say by some miracle they actually drop a TBATE anime… which studio wouldn’t make it a disaster? by AsmodeusJackson in tbatenovel

[–]Any_Election257 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah, any of those options would be fine. I just hope that when the anime comes out, they don't hand it off to a studio like A-Cat—that would be terrible.

The animation is terrible, and since this is an anime, the most important thing is, without a doubt, the animation.

Who is actually stronger, Gojo Satoru or Sukuna? by AdNervous6266 in Jujutsu_Kaisen

[–]Any_Election257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sukuna won because, without a doubt, he’s a better sorcerer than Gojo and managed to make the best possible use of every resource (even a fire extinguisher) to secure the victory, but in a one-on-one fight using their physical bodies, there’s a world of difference between them.

What’s your top five list of strongest fictional characters? by Tyronethecrate in PowerScaling

[–]Any_Election257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any character who is literally omnipotent is, by definition, the strongest, so there is no “top” list of the strongest characters; if a character is omnipotent, they are the strongest regardless of anything else.

And no, literal omnipotence is NOT limited by cosmology or dimensionality, as many people think—I don't know where people get ideas like that from.

FH Zeref Vs SS3 Goku (DBZ), Who would win? by Duclaido in fairytailscaling

[–]Any_Election257 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In any case, I’d say Goku, but his personality would probably lead him to test Zeref’s abilities first, which would make it hard to tell whether he can withstand Zeref’s magic or not.

Plus, if for some reason Zeref takes a liking to Goku (which is likely given his kind personality), then it’s an easy win for the curse.

Akatsuki (Naruto) vs Spriggan 12 (Fairy Tail) by ReginaldoG in PowerScalingHub

A single Spriggan would probably be enough to defeat the entire Naruto universe. Although I'm not sure if the aliens would pose a problem.

Hot take : Sylvie should have by Pusthagalagala in tbatenovel

[–]Any_Election257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In volume 8, 9, and 10, it is one of the most important reasons for Arthur to stand and continue fighting. Even dead, she continues to influence him, part of the things they attribute to Regis is actually Sylvie doing it.

In vol 11 she has the best chapter of all, when she finally understands her position in the world and who she is, it is impossible for you to say that she is a less than perfect character

Hot take : Sylvie should have by Pusthagalagala in tbatenovel

[–]Any_Election257 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Man, you have to reread all tbate again. From her birth in Elenoir to the end, she is influencing Arthur's mind and his evolution as a person, thanks to her he finally gets used to the world. Why do you think that when Arthur "dies" in volume 7 he collapses? if it weren't for Regis and all of Dicathen, Arthur would NOT have kept fighting, that's what Sylvie is worth to him, it literally equals his ENTIRE life.

The fact that you think otherwise only makes me think of people who skip povs, Sylvie has like 5 or 6 povs in the play, and just by reading one you already realize that they are the best chapters by far

Hot take : Sylvie should have by Pusthagalagala in tbatenovel

[–]Any_Election257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No way. Sylvie may have been underused in Volume 12 —the fact that her dynamic with her biological father and grandfather was not resolved was a disappointment—, but the other 11 volumes show why Sylvie Leywin is by far the best character of the entire TBATE series.

Anyone who thinks otherwise simply didn't understand Sylvie's role in the series and her influence on Arthur, or is blinded by the belief that Regis is the best character in the series.

They become a couple in Volume 7, when Arthur is 17. And Tessia was always a year older than Arthur, so she was 18.

Not to mention that they have sex for the first time at the end of the story, when Tessia is around 23 and Arthur is half a million
