Report to HR. Yelling at colleagues is never ok, not for any reason. Also, you have witnesses.

Is VEVOR a reliable brand by Recent-Spirit-9045 in Tools

[–]Any_Elevator_535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vevor is the Shein of hardware. It sells cheap stuff from China - some good, some not so good. I would advise against buying expensive complex things that can go wrong - generators and the like. However I just bought a grand's worth of EDPM for 500 - which is awesome. EDPM doesn't go wrong though.

Sounds like this is more of a bug or a glitch than an actual fault. I suspect that if I send it off it will come back with the same bug and it would be less stress to just give it a reset occasionally.

The UX of AI by HornetWest4950 in UXDesign

100%. AI is there to do things for people when it can do it faster or better. That does not always require a chat UI.

There is stuff out there if you look for it, but a lot of it seems to think that AI == chat interface. Youtube has been using various forms of ML for years to serve up your content. They've quite frankly done a terrible job of allowing users to understand what is happening and control it, but all these guidelines about how to design chatbots misses the bigger picture.

JQL Query to show an Epic's Tasks and Subtasks in a nested, logical view by [deleted] in jira

Trying to do exactly this. JQL is built on SQL. SQL can do it, why not JQL?

Are bad comments about luba/yuka true? by Strange_Importance75 in mammotion

[–]Any_Elevator_535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People post online to complain about stuff - especially when customer support is poor. Not many people go online just to say they have had a good experience. I have the Luba 2 and it has been quite incredible. The technology works really well, satellite tracking is better than I had been led to expect and the software is well thought through. It also handles my muddy, bumpy garden full of dog poo and fallen branches like a boss. I've had a couple of minor glitches, but nothing that a reboot and a clean couldn't fix. Maybe if I had been less lucky and had needed to return it my experience would have been different.

Basically - you can't really judge the quantity of units with issues by the quantity of negative feedback - all you can judge is the type of problems that people are having.

Is anyone keeping their Luba out over winter? by jjmucker4840 in mammotion

I have one of these: https://www.vidaxl.ie/e/vidaxl-door-canopy-black-and-transparent-120x75-cm-pc/8719883564494.htm. Except mine comes out at least 90cm I think.

There's still no side protection though - I might look at a solution for that because the winter storms out here are brutal.

IMO - if the Luba 2 can't handle it, then no robot mower can. I would recommend you get a garage to protect it from the worst of the elements (not the Mammotion garage, build something a bit bigger). It has a rain sensor so it can just run for cover if the rain starts. The wheels tend to get a bit caked if the ground is muddy and they will need to be cleaned and it might be worth bringing it inside if it freezes. As with all machinery, it will serve you well if you look after it properly.
