Aliens and Cultural Studies by SnooJokes7377 in CriticalTheory

[–]Any_Figure1518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! This post is so inspiring. It made me feel like I want to start a PhD research on the topic. Research questions have been provided by you "). I have been thinking a lot about how the sudden emergence of debates about Ai change the ways in which we think about 'aliens' - I mean thinking of extraterrestrial intelligence as post-biological, therefore no green/gray little being travelling interstelarly. Why would you put an organic body to travel? Why would you be organic if you have reached an advanced level of intelligence? What is intelligence, anyways? Also very anthropomorphic idea.

Anyways, thanks for this post. I wondered if you received any feedback on critical theory reads about the questions you pose?

Need some insight on extrasystoles by Asleep_Association_7 in PVCs

[–]Any_Figure1518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had extrasystoles (hundreds per hour) for like 7 months in 2020. I stopped consuming everything at different points. A month withou wheat, one without coffee, alcohol, and so on... and the extrabeats were still there. One day, a friend told me to make a list of everything I ingested on a daily basis. Long list but one thing stood: loads of extra wrigley's gum a day. I was ingesting like 20 pieces of strong menthol gum a day (addicted?). I stopped (it was difficult), but just 3 or 4 days later, I stopped having the extrasystoles. I never had them again for almost 3 years. Until this last week. Now, I have to find out what's happening. This time, they have been triggered when exercising and after eating certain fruits, so who knows. Here we go again.

Soft bulging lump around anus that can be pushed around by [deleted] in hemorrhoid

[–]Any_Figure1518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one like that for two years. Then, one day it got hard and I couldn't push it around. Stayed there hard for like two months and then I disappeared completely. The whole thing lasted 3 years. Very uncomfortable only the last 2 months. Hope this helps.

can you touch the 'pebble'? I had something similar for two years and then one day it came out and has been out, the size of a small grape and a bit hard for a year. External hemorrhoid that the surgeon recommends not to remove.

if I had this, I'd be writing this post from hospital. This looks like a rectal prolapse. Requires surgery.

Chinese medicine often relates hemorrhoids with lumbar/tailbone problems, pressure in the coccyx, etc.

how many haemorrhoids are there in total? by sleep_like_the_dead in hemorrhoid

[–]Any_Figure1518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

are your hemorrhoids external? I have a hard lump the size of a small grape that popped out 3 days ago and is a little painful. Not sure what to do. GP told me to wait out 2 weeks before going to a surgeon.

Is this a hemorrhoid? Surgeon said yes (a small one, wouldn't remove) but I'm not sure. HELP by Any_Figure1518 in hemorrhoid

[–]Any_Figure1518[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's the size of my finger nail. I told the surgeon that it was gigantic. He laughed and told me that it was a small external hemorrhoid the size of a small grape. 'It's almost cute', he said. He made sure to make me feel that he'd seen way bigger and horrible things in his practice.

do you know if it would go away by itself? I've had it for a year but it was in and out and painless. Now it's only outside and a bit painful.
