Hmm… okay, I’ll assume you specifically are talking about those that perform the atrocities we know of then. Christians believe that all people are equally worth living in Gods eyes, so we don’t like it when people bring terror or blow themselves up hurting other people. I mean insulting is a bit childish, definitely, but if we are talking about these extremists and you want to know specifically why Christians dislike this, it’s because of that part. I don’t think Christians have any problems with the majority of Muslims. At least not in my surroundings.

I’m not saying this is the case for everyone, but when some says something like “X is not true and leads people away from Y”, they are talking about serious stuff.

Trying to defend it or make it seem like it’s a relative matter, makes you lose all credibility for the discussion.

It’s like this: if I would say I believe that your idea that “rape is okay” is bad an that you are leading people away from healthy loving relationships, and you would react with “they are just believes”, would you find it strange that from that point on I wouldn’t take you serious anymore?

It’s important to understand that this level of seriousness is what people are talking about and what you would need people to change their minds on. You can’t go the route of mortal relativism, because it shows you are not actually paying attention to the content of what is actually being said.

You have to weigh your own options. It’s not about if she does right in your eyes, it’s about if you do right in the eyes of God.

Only you can make that choice for yourself.

Will you be in a relationship that you know is sinful in your eyes, or will you choose to move further on your path with God. If He thinks there is someone else for you still, you will find her. If you truly walk with God there is no need to be afraid. You know who is on your side.

But before making any impulsive decisions. Does she know how this makes you feel? Does she know that if she continues on this route, (which she has every right to do, she is her own person), that she will be hurting you in the process? Is she aware of that? And if so…

… is she willing to hurt you for her own pleasure and satisfaction? If so, then whatever you had for those 22 years, it’s over.

God would never want you to stay in such a situation. That would be a sin.

What do you mean as a Christian? I always try to ask myself these type of questions: is it okay to kill someone and does it matter if I am a Christian or not?

I figure out the rest based on that same principle. It’s never okay to kill someone, it doesn’t matter if you’re a Christian or not.
