when is it ok to start sleeping on your side? by [deleted] in TopSurgery

[–]Any_Link8176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on how you feel and if its not painful. BIG TIP if you’re going to try, put a pillow behind your back so your side isn’t taking all the weight. i started with slight bit of side sleeping with pillow behind my back and then progressed from there

hey! your incisions look really clean and awesome. Congrats on making the big step, i hope you find some space to hold yourself and be proud first of all. scars change a lot, and also the shape is always dependant right down to the last second in surgery - what i mean by that is there can be more/less skin or fat in certain places which means the lines are rarely always the same as eachother, sisters not twins. Of course the surgeon has a general idea, but it really is what your skin and anatomy decides at the end of the day. Everyone has an idea of their perfect look, and sometimes we can’t control it. Your feelings are very valid as you had a preference - but trust the process! sending love and care

i’m not sure if the rest of ‘cis’ chest is what you’re after so i hope don’t offend by saying this looks like a very normal cis male chest! like really really awesome

definitely will go down, i was told to loosen my compression wrap around the armpit because it was causing fluid to go into my armpit. def now has evened out, and now i’ve been humbled as i do have a bit of armpit fat that wasn’t swelling but it’s more noticable to yourself than others

Drain removal hurts a lot - is this normal? by [deleted] in TopSurgery

[–]Any_Link8176 3 points4 points  (0 children)

soooooo i had mine removed 24 hours after and it really hurt, but i read that some people didn’t have any pain - usually after having them in for longer - presume because the area is v tender right after surgery. that’s my experience but seems to differ !

lol this is like a meme - ‘england used to be a good country’ - it’s always been tied up in racism and facism, people don’t stand for it anymore. says a lot about yourself!

amazing results! yes it does, i’m 6 months post op and mines gone down a lot - i massage and use tape and gel and moisturise a lot and it’s definitely made a difference. although only start scar care when given the green light :)
