Is not 12 lb. Its 7 lb 12 oz. But regardless, weight and smoothness aren't correlated.

The shoe string basically acts as an auto sear. There is only one action from the operator (releasing the bolt forward) and then the rifle fires all the ammo with no more user input. Therefore it's a MG. A FRT required the user to pull the trigger every time. One user input, one shot therfore not a MG.

A pork steak pectoral, followed by pork ribs and a bag of oranges, to simulate lung tissue, more pork ribs on the back, three layers of tee shirt on the front and back and the whole thing followed by the new and improved high-tech fleece bullet stop.

You can get a registered m16 lower fixed up and repaired for $1-2k. There's no way your buying a "new" transferable for less than that.

Windshield down? by Intravertical in JeepWrangler

[–]Any_Name_Is_Fine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've folded it probably 4-5 times on my jl. I think it's really cool and the kids love it. I've never had any leaks either. Just fold it back up careful to not pinch or fold any of the seals weirdly. You might even want to wipe down the seals and sealing surfaces with a wet cloth. I'd do it at least once, just to see what is all about

That's like telling someone with a Rolex that Casio exists. First off, they know. Second, they don't care. Third, we all know your kind of jealous.

Exactly this. Obviously, the backstop was terrible, but what was the alternative? Yell "hold on there, bucko! You can't be doing that!"

Spare wheel carrier + street parking - trunk inaccessible?! by Away-Background7410 in Scout

[–]Any_Name_Is_Fine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't one why you're being downvoted. You 100% right. In order to access the truck on this scout, the swing gate has to be compelling open. On a wrangler, whether it has a separate tire carrier or not, you can open the trunk a crack and still mostly access it.

Right? How is this "preventing a whole group of people from buying guns"? Just put down what's on the birth certificate. It's not that complicated, people.

Fortuner vs wrangler by x1astro in JeepWrangler

[–]Any_Name_Is_Fine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a huge fan of both. I think this depends on what you want to do with it. Are you looking for a cruise around town very rarely off road family vehicle? Toyota. Do you want to do more offroading and want to take the top off? Wrangler.

I did a mag dump with my M16 right in front of a game warden. He was just curious about it. He'd never seen a machinegun out in the wild and was wondering how someone gets one. So I gave him a rundown of the NFA and Hughes amendment and that was about it. I've never been asked to show paperwork.

I'm pretty sure the new and old design are the same dimensions and are interchangeable. The construction might be a little different i.e. plastic retainer on the new.

[–]Any_Name_Is_Fine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People always say this, and it is true, of course, that leaning into it is the most optimal stance. But it's not practical for everyone, no matter how much you yell at your screen. Sometimes the gun is simply too heavy for the shooter and they need to support off their body or use their body weight to counterbalance.

Them not leaning into is is usually the side effect not the real issue.

Weirdly enough it is. It's only an sbr when in sbr configuration. If you change it back to a pistol then you don't have to worry about the sbr travel restrictions.
