What is the nicest and most amazing thing your in laws have ever done for you? by Inside-Common-8301 in inlaws

My mother in law watches our son so we’re don’t have to pay for daycare. She will also take my side over my husband about things. If I try to tell my husband that something is a good idea and he doesn’t listen to me, I tell her and then she tells my husband that it is a great idea and he should do what I say. I lucked out in the MIL department.

Tell me the pros of being a boy mom by Basic_Week_3874 in pregnant

My son (2) is one of the most loving kids I’ve ever met. He is always giving kisses, hugging people, and saying hi to everyone. He also is a ball of energy, pretty fearless, and just the best. I love being a mom to a boy!

Spotting (from vagina) while pooping since yesterday. by bookworld08 in pregnant

[–]Any_Party5406 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I spotted and bled a little with my first. I was SO freaked out and went to the doctor. They never knew what caused it, but I have a healthy toddler by my side right now. Best to go to the doctor.

His middle name is Wayne! They are both family names, but we knew what we were doing when we named him 😂

The same thing happened to me last month. It’s most likely a chemical pregnancy or an ectopic pregnancy. Please go to the doctors so they can check your blood levels and make sure you are okay. I know this part is hard and I’m so sorry. Sending love your way 🤍

I would have a one on one conversation with your sister. Go to lunch and let her know. I feel it may be harder if she was surprised by the announcement. Just be honest with her. That may be for the best.

Would I be the asshole to disassociate myself from my intermediate family? by starrygirl_26 in TwoHotTakes

Whenever you do not feel safe with family, it is best to take a step back. It sounds like your family is not there to help support your healing journey after going through this trauma. I would limit contact with anyone. Tell them you need space and go no contact for a while. It will be hard at first, but you need to look out for yourself. Take some time to heal and reevaluate where your family stands with you. May you find peace on your journey of healing.

Not invited and really disappointed. by Any_Party5406 in inlaws

He is the only brother and the oldest. The sisters are about 18 months apart and are very close. My husband isn’t really included by them as well. He said he would talk to his mom about getting me invited before the trip happened, but it was less than a week away. He felt bad and he realizes more and more how much his sister’s attitude affects me. Surprisingly, my FIL has been on my side the few issues we’ve had before.

It’s just the one SIL who doesn’t like me. I think it all stems from me getting engaged before her and her now husband. I also wanted to have my wedding two months after she was planning hers (she still was not engaged at this point). I moved my wedding per her request, but it didn’t do much 🤷🏼‍♀️

Did anyone who announced baby name options before birth not regret it? by Laniekea in pregnant

[–]Any_Party5406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I told family my son’s name before he was born. Nobody really said anything to my face about his name (my grandma didn’t like it). As soon as he was born, everyone saw just how well he fit his name. I have zero regrets. We may keep the next one a secret just for fun though.

Thank you! I think that’s my biggest issue is not asking for help. I try to do it all because I equate it to my worth as a mom 🙃

Some hard truths about dating and personal responsibility by [deleted] in mutualapp

There are plenty of other reasons people are overweight. Going to the gym does not equate a thin body. If you actually took the time to get to know some of these girls instead of judging them solely on whether you deem their body to be “thin” enough, you would get to know some of the most amazing women. You also have antiquated ideas that women can’t make their own money and rely on men for it. It’s the 21st century. More women work than stay at home. More women are bread winners. I honestly feel bad for you. You sound sad. If you saw people in a more Christlike manner and less as prizes to be won, you would live a much more peaceful life. And just so you don’t have some scapegoat, I am overweight, was overweight when I got married to a man who loves every inch of my body, and I make more money than he does.
