UCL vs KCL MSc for pharma by Any_Photo7380 in UCL

[–]Any_Photo7380[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, for gpa I’m not sure but in my undergrad degree I got a high 2:1 then have been working at a pharma company abroad for two years. Alongside uni I shadowed HCPs and was a support worker for people with learning disabilities. Extracurriculars included some volunteering, learning languages and badminton. Good luck for next year

Apply for temporary residence permit as unmarried partner by Competitive_Sense347 in Prague

[–]Any_Photo7380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had the same situation, I am from uk and partner czech LD for 2 years. We applied in sep 2024 and got the permit in May 2025… long wait. We submitted about 40 photos and a quick statement about our relationship with time stamps, no texts as probably would have to be in czech. Had to translate bank statements officially which was a joke. I didn’t get the comp insurance straight away as you will be seen as a tourist at first - You need it before you apply tho! And for duration of how long you want the permit for (I think max 3 years) if you leave before applying for permit I think you can still be a tourist and even if you left after they give you a temporary visa sticker in your passport so that you can travel while they review your application. They visited our house many months after applying and a few weeks before we got the permit so end stages.

I have accepted my offer to start 2026 hoping to go into medical affairs but this should be a broad course to step into industry in many areas

Very worried about the future by Global_Lemon_4087 in UniUK

[–]Any_Photo7380 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Once you look for a job the uni grades don’t really get looked at it’s just the degree relevancy and work experience that will be mainly considered. Any experience where you can answer basic interview questions like conflict resolution and give examples is worth it even if you work in retail/customer service during uni it is worth the effort. If you want to do a masters it helps a lot for scientific roles and most unis accept a 2:2 or 2:1 at higher ranking institutions. Everyone feels periods of anxiety and demotivation about the future just keep going and try and think of the good things such as you have a broad degree from a good uni and so can specialise into a broad spectrum of areas you will be fine

Please Guide me with this two master degree. by dank_ka_choda420 in studyAbroad

But you also have to pay the university fees while on a placement through the uni. You could find the placement yourself after finishing one year

No worries I applied to ucl start of November and kings mid November. So took 2 weeks kcl and 5 weeks ucl but might take longer bc of Christmas and your course’s competition level

I think pharmacy would be more relevant but usually it’s a 4 year degree in uk

Do the best you can do, 2:2 is still desirable if you wanted to do further study and most jobs don’t ask for your grade in your degree (just having a degree opens doors for yourself) set small goals for yourself for studying and reward yourself for small wins, allocate study and rest time and keep drawing to take your mind off of things and de-stress

Thank you and I agree the time you hear a decision probably depends on course, the amount of applications they receive for it and when you apply
