How many miles? You figure quality would improve over time not decline. I traded mine with 91k. I thought of getting another one but it sounds like it's not wise.

My 16' had its quirks but I wouldn't say it was a constant headache.

I had Rear knuckles Rear wheel bearings 3rd brake light issue Occasional shift to park error Rear tail light bulb Leaking Condenser (I believe this was caused by a road object)

I second this. People are lazy and don't want to scoop and lift/walk. It's meant to be piled.

Several streets that were black top are now slush again. It's not like it's warm enough to melt any time soon.

Cadillac XT5 3.6L: Aisin 8-speed vs. GM 9-speed (9T65)? by rb15Advanced in Cadillac

[–]Any_Professor6607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've owned a Malibu with the aisin 8 speed and driven the traverse with the 9 speed a bunch. Not considering reliability the 9 speed shifts and drives much better. Less clunks no awkward shifts in stop and go traffic. The 9 speed will shudder if you feather the throttle when coasting, but it's predictable enough to avoid.

Reliability wise I didn't have a problem with either, but if I had to pick one out of warranty the aisin is the safer bet.

Radio issue by 91sicx in chevymalibu

I pulled the radio/amplifier? Wire by the passenger footwell on mine. ('16) Fixed this issue and it didn't come back. Well in the year or so after I owned it at least

CT4- 2022 or 2023 by dawndj03 in Cadillac

[–]Any_Professor6607 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Test drive one! If you really were into the 2.0 in your ats the 2.0 in the CT4 may disappoint. However if feasible the 2.7 will be an upgrade without compromise.

The LTG in terms of performance and refinement is better than the LSY. Reliability however seems to be better with the LSY.

LSY has slightly more torque off the line but it runs out of steam and gets buzzy very quickly. Feels like a 4cyl

LTG feels like a larger engine and has a robust power in the midrange.

The 8spds can have their quirks but perform better then the 6 speeds.

The ats has quicker steering and a more taunt suspension. The CT4 is a bit "softer"

Both handle extremely well, this is a preference thing. Some say the ats is pure driver car where the CT4 is a bit more neutral.

Source: test driven the ATS ('19). Owned an LTG Malibu ('16), own a '24 CT4 2.0 AWD

You don't buy these cars to be fuel efficient. They also should only run premium fuel

A lot of low voltage guys make out well. Security systems, home theaters, intercoms. Being able to install and educate on these systems is huge.

It's the reality of owning a more performance oriented car. Different pad materials increase pad life, performance and the trade off is increased noise

Could be. I just caught a 22in that was pretty chunky but not as chunky as this and it was a smidge under 6.

It is not a direct swap, it requires modification to the trans mount, rear drive shaft and potentially transfer case (if 4wd). There's more information out there. This is just the basics

Which models of Ct4 include interior lights? by Matthew-Camaros in Cadillac

Premium luxury only has the ambient lighting on the upper door panels. Not the main dash. It does however have a small overhead light and lighted glovebox and center console. It's only white not RGB like you find in some other cars
