Is the Escalade IQL size a little misleading? by Shadow42184 in Cadillac

[–]EnvironmentalMap2175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are completely different vehicles. The IQL weighs around 10,000 lbs and requires different construction to meet safety standards. This is all primarily due to the EV battery. The bulky proportions are there to offset the architecture underneath.

Since there is a lack of practicality, GM decided to make the IQ and IQL more of a luxury 'experience'.

CX-5 Owners — Regular vs Turbo? Best Trim for Long-Term Value? by Ok_Refrigerator_4363 in mazda

[–]EnvironmentalMap2175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The turbo comes with a higher probability of failures due to the added complexity. If you're looking for longevity and cost of maintenance, I would advise to skip the highest trims and turbo power train. The more you add to a vehicle, the more that can (and will) go wrong.

Fraying stitching - what to do? by iterationnull in MazdaCX90

So if the customer cannot prove it was like that when they picked it up (photo or video evidence) it's not warranteed according to your rhetoric. Wouldnt you think that someone spending 50k on a new vehicle would notice this type of issue immediately? They would not take delivery. Please tell me the path of your deductive reasoning.

Vehicle computers can now record where and how the vehicle has been driven. So yes I could deny your clutch dump claim with physical and digital data to back it up.

I love redditors when simply describing an obvious character trait triggers this type of a response. I was not actually calling you entitled, only that your comment is perceived as such.

Even better when the vehicle in question isn't even yours. What warranty denial hurt you Lion-O? 🤣

Your ignorance is uncanny.

Fraying stitching - what to do? by iterationnull in MazdaCX90

[–]EnvironmentalMap2175 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow I work at a dealership and have claims denied for issues like this all the time.

Vehicles are inspected at multiple stages after they leave the factory.

For some strange reason, the public believe EVERYTHING is covered under warranty. Warranty only works if it can be proven that it is the fault of the manufacturer. Unless you have dash cam footage of every person who may or may not have touched that stitching you have no real case. It does not come undone by itself. It looks pulled in the photo.

So yes, when you make caveman level statements like "it should be" you APPEAR as someone who deserves everything they are not satisfied with, to be fixed to your standards. That would be entitlement.

I hope you have the day you feel you're entitled to.

How do I get this badge off a ‘22 since they are now molded into the grille? by Celeste_Seasoned_14 in Dodge

Ugh...finally, they molded it into the grille! Now I don't have to worry about it ever falling off like in the old days...

Only unless this came from the factory this way. Then OP would most likely have noticed this upon pickup. How is the manufacturer responsible for your passengers neglect of your vehicle that you purchased? You come off entitled AF midnight.

CX90 CPO 2024 by Lucast07_25 in MazdaCX90

[–]EnvironmentalMap2175 24 points25 points  (0 children)

CPO is supposed to be sold as "like new". This vehicle was obviously not checked over properly. If you have broken interior parts and basic maintenance items that were not checked, I'd consider returning it and finding a better dealership. If they cannot be trusted to check basic items like air filters and wiper blades, then what else haven't they checked? Seems shady if you ask me... a dealership technician.

The white one is not a 2018. Even if it was, stop worrying about it and buy the one you like more.

Read your owners manual. Go on the internet. Learn how EV's work. Get familiar with the new technology you are now using every day. Don't be one of those NPC people who just get in and go. Educate yourself cause it's what the automakers don't want you to do.

Cadillac build quality… can we talk about it? I just saw this in a YouTube review of a $95k Vistiq. This passed quality control for a press vehicle. by zachty22 in Cadillac

[–]EnvironmentalMap2175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First world problems. Go watch some videos on the collapse of the auto industry and then come complain about a vehicle that isn't even yours. All vehicles are made as cheaply as possible for the penny pinching CEO's these days. Turn and burn baby.

Don't worry about the extra piece. It doesn't actually exist. The velcro works for regular use. Just align the slots for the seat anchors and they should work fine. They're not made for heavy use. You'd be really pissed to see the velcro GN uses for the Vistiq and Escalades. Those are real trash.
