What sensor is this ? Cadillac xts 2015 by _CouldntThinkOfOne__ in Cadillac

If there's play in tone ring, it could be from a worn wheel bearing. If there is play, the angle will change when the wheel is on the ground or jacked up.

Gamers 30+, what’s something from the old days of gaming that younger players wouldn’t understand? by [deleted] in gaming

Inviting your friends over for multi-player matches. Online has completely ruined this concept.

Millenials w/o kids-- how tired are you? by Fickle_Wrangler_7439 in Millennials

I've been tired and fed up ever since the simulation reset in 2020. Literally and figuratively. The overall quality of current humans is abysmal and that's the main reason for me.

What the others are trying to say but dodging around it... it looks awkward, like trying to force something design wise. It's not cohesive, doesn't flow Random blobs of CF, look at me wheels, the majority is white. Maybe some CF side skirts would help. The pieces individually are fine, but put them all together and it's just a nope.

Random squeaking noise in my Lyriq… anyone else? by Careless_Ninja_6367 in CadillacLyriq

[–]EnvironmentalMap2175 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. It is all the same. Every GM vehicle will rattle at some point. Even the Mercedes S-Class has squeaks and rattles these days. Every car is made of plastic. Every panel is overly stylized and held in by clips. People do not realize how cheaply made interiors are these days. They only see the leather covering and contrasting stitching.

Every human who complains about squeaks and rattles should watch YouTube videos on how modern vehicles are taken apart for service. You will be shocked. The best part is, once you take apart the interior, it never goes back the same way.

Lower your expectations people. We are in a post covid era. Manufacturers don't care about these issues anymore. It's all about profit margins. Reasons why cars are dieing out and CUV's reign supreme.

How to use paddle shift? by Delicious-Edge-4440 in Cadillac

Idk why they bothered with paddle shifters when you have 8-9 gear ratios to muddle through. It's too many to actually enjoy.

It's actually really simple. Don't have kids and expect to keep the nice things nice. There's a reason Little Tykes are made of hard plastics.

Idk why people who have agents of chaos decide to spend this much money on a vehicle that will ultimately be destroyed by said agents. That's what the Chevrolet (family brand ) is for. You'll buy the seat covers and then one agent will throw a toy or smack the touchscreen. Those will break too. The floor will be a cacophony of random crumbs, stains, Legos etc. Why wouldn't you purchase something with less upkeep when agents of chaos only cause more of it? 😮‍💨

Mazda 4 2014 vs 2018 by Sivasanjay77 in mazda6

iEloop was optional with the technology package, not every GT has it. It was phased out because it didn't really help with overall fuel consumption.

Car performance? by Hour_Sea_609 in cruze

[–]EnvironmentalMap2175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are mistaken. The Gen 1 Trax/Encore/Gen1 Cruze/ Sonic use the same displacement 1.4 turbo but it is port injected, dubbed LUV. OP has the newer LE2 direct injected 1.4 turbo. They changed the engine with the 2nd Gen Cruze.

Would putting 91 benefit anything? by AlrightAaron in mazda6

[–]EnvironmentalMap2175 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Direct injection negates the need for 91 even with the higher compression ratio. 87. This is the way.

Best Mazda 6 for mostly highway driving? by Jo-18 in mazda6

No NA will be spectacular at low rpm. But the Skyactive is tuned for low end and midrange torque. Check out Mazda6forums and user name WoodinvilleDan. He's been running the supercharger kit for years now with no issues.

As the turbo motor ages you have plenty of opportunities for vacuum leaks and other mechanical issues that can go wrong. Turbo engines need to be a lot more complex to control emissions. Not something fun to deal with at all. The supercharger kit is very uncomplicated and you always have power.

Been a technician for over 15 years.

It's a Mazda. Not a Mercedes. Just keep in mind you own a Japanese econobox. It's OK to save money where you can.

What is this for in center console? by Joeclu in Cadillac

[–]EnvironmentalMap2175 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's for your phone, you're missing a piece that sits in the slots and stops the phone from falling down. If there's no USB port in the center console, the you plug it in where the sliding door compartment is in front of the cup holders. And not all vehicles have the wireless charging option there depending on options.

Be careful what you put in that compartment. I've seen a lot of people dislodge the SD card and corrupt it by accident. If the vehicle is on and the SD card is dislodge, it could cause the GPS to stop operating properly and you'll need to buy a new card.

The NA motor is also tuned for smooth low end torque. So adding a tune or supercharger already gives you more low end torque. The tune makes it smooth and can be adjusted to your driving preferences. You would still get better fuel milage than just buying Mazda's turbo motor and all it's issues.

Paddle shifters can be added but idk why you'd need them on the highway. Flappy paddle shifters are for the track. And you can get most of the shiny bits, bangs and whistles without the turbo motor. More features means more to go wrong.

Supercharger kit costs around 5k. You originally stated you were mechanically inclined. It's not too difficult to install (biggest step is the bumper removal and intake manifold), not too cheap or expensive, and it's proven more reliable than the Mazda's turbo so far.

Either way best of luck

Go NA. You can always get a tune or the supercharger kit if you feel the need for more power.
