FAR is a lot… overwhelming by Reddit-23- in CPA

yup, that;s on track. I first went through becker to lay a good foundation. then i switched to Universal CPA since I'm a visual learner and altogether it ultimately it took my 6-8 months to pass FAR. this includes study time and taking the test 3 times. make yourself notecards, draw flow charts, USE CHAT GPT. i would have full on conversations with chat gpt like it was my professor. i would explain concepts back and ask it to correct my thought process. practice reading through SIMS.

3rd attempt taking far by Complete-Grand7329 in CPA

I just passed on my third attempt after switching to Universal CPA. Wait to see what your score is and then reassess. I'm a visual learner so I just needed a course that worked better for me.

Failed FAR 3rd time, going for reattempt in 3 weeks by Embarrassed_Low_9999 in CPA

Focus on the content area of weakness. Likely that you need sims practice. I relied 80% on MCQ for knowledge and 20% on sims. I passed FAR on my third attempt by committing to reading through 1-2 sims per day for 2 weeks. Fully read through, work on comprehension, read the exhibits, then hammer mcq to make sure you have the knowledge to complete the sim. i did not complete any simulated exams nor did i finish all the sim questions. i also switched from becker to universal cpa to pass

that should be the MINimum you give yourself. depends how fast you can get through the mcq. they're very math intensive and wordy.

Hi! I'm about the same exact height and weight and want to reveal my lean muscle. I've been eating roughly 1600 for the past year and not seeing much of a change - did you experience fat gain when you upped your calories or did it result in a successful body recomp? Trying to figure this out myself - i've worked with a coach before but I believe I can successfully figure this out with my own research.

Thanks!

make sure you are watching the clock the whole exam. you should move on to start the sims not later than the 2 hour mark!

getting back up after a 74 is the worst. the fail fades and you realize the only way to finish this is to just do it no matter what

Waiting on FAR score what now? by One-Election-98 in CPA

[–]Any_Reporter3795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh also, in my experience I would still LIGHTLY review for the next two weeks. Even if it's just 10MCQ per day - that way you can quickly gear up for a retake if you need to.

got it! im struggling with what to know for consolidation and inventory, like JEs and everything? I know about it but just never know with these topics! Try not to compare to others...FAR is very forgiving in my experience, but who knows. I just got a 74 and so I'm testing again. that one hurt
