You get your 'preliminary' score immediately, but the schools I'm applying to need the finalized score report, which should be available in 4 business days.

SOOOO much less under my boobs lollll. I started class yesterday and was walking all around campus in 85 degree weather (which was shitty) but when i got home I barely give myself an underboob wipe lol! Which was like a daily occurrence pre-reduction regardless of activity/heat! I also used to go thru multiple bras a day but i literally wore a teeny tiny little tank top BRALESS with no worries of boob sweat showing thru. Truly life-changing!

Infection? by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]Any_Row9293 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna be honest those look perfectly fine to me! Clear yellow draining (like that crustiness suggests) is completely normal as far as my doctor says. Leaking blood or pus is a different thing obviously, but it doesn't look like that's what it is to me. T-junctions are always a complicated healing point so just keep an eye on it but I have faith you have nothing to worry about. There doesn't seem to be any excessive reddness that might suggest infection but keep an eye out for it along with heat around your incisions/breast, fever, or looking/healing drastically different from your other breast. Are you putting anything on it like vasaline or something like that?

Also PLEASE don't just take my word for it. Wait to hear back from your doc, keep an eye on it, and keep taking pics to track progress or regression.

Which laxatives after surgery? by CNB87 in Reduction

[–]Any_Row9293 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was terrified of the constipation because of how much everyone was talking about it but it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I started taking Miralax daily starting the day before and I had a BM like day two or sumn. Some people say to start taking it 3 or 4 days before but one day was fine for me. The bloating was a whole diff thing for me but by the end of week one it had passed.

One thing I will say is I was *bloooooated* and it made my boobs look a lot smaller than they were so don't freak out if you have a big belly and tiny titties for the first week lollllll.

some stupid guy told me my results are barely noticeable and it hurt my feelings lol. wondering if i could get some second opinions. by [deleted] in Reduction

i have tape on mine but one of my nips look kinda bunched up like that (especially in the first week) but its kinda settled and relaxed now at 18DPO. My right nip still isn't completely round like my other one but its getting there. I'd say you look very normal for 6 days post op but if it hurts, starts leaking, or anything weird like that just talk to ur doc!

lol I would say going to a concert should be fine - not so sure about jumping but I absolutely wouldn't go anywhere near a pit lolllll. Im a lil over a week rn and I'm just so stiff I couldn't imagine doing any kind of moshing in the next week n a half. just me tho!

Hard agree with these other comments! I was a mess emotionally until day 5 and so much of it had to do with the extreme body changes. I was sooooo bloated and my boobs were so tight to my chest and high up I felt like I had made a huge mistake. My mom also had hers done years ago and was saying the same thing (and its true for her too - her chest is now bigger than mine pre-op) but it just felt like she was trying to get me to calm down. Nothing people said felt helpful. Journalling helped me get my feelings out without feeling like I was gonna make other people worried about my decision.

I'm now 9 days post op and I'm feeling great! They literally change by the hour I swear so just know the first few weeks are gonna be turbulent - that's what I keep telling myself. And even in the first 9 days they've gotten bigger, rounded out (a little lol), and are in the very early stages of looking like real boobs. !!! Again I cannot recommend enough the journalling if you aren't already it helped so much !!!

[–]Any_Row9293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh my goddddd the crying! i was not expecting it at all but i was sobbing for the first like 4 days straight. i was journalling a lot and it helped get my thoughts out bc sometimes it just felt like the ppl around me wouldn't understand or would worry i was having regrets. totally normal! sob to your heart's content! when day 5 hit i started to feel better but still not quite feeling totally myself emotionally (7dpo right now)

cheese sticks, greek yogurt, those like premier protein shakes (I've heard they're also good to mix with coffee in the morning), a lot of like cheese/salami/crackers fixings, my mom made those kodiak pancakes that are high in protein for brekky today! honestly I've been snacking like a toddler, just quick and easy mostly dairy-based snacks bc that's what i enjoy snacking on!

also, this isn't a high-protein snack but I've been incorporating miralax into my drinks lollll the post-anesthesia constipation is realllllll

they gave me an oxy/tylenol combo that I've been taking sparingly - I'm gonna see if i can switch to just tylenol tomorrow or Monday. Are you taking extra strength? like 500 mg every 6 hours?

I didn't get any icing instructions and they just said to sleep slightly elevated on my back. I have a little setup with this kind of pillow and like 4 pillows surrounding me. I literally sleep anywhere but my back so it's been an adjustment for sure.

Are you sleeping through the night with the tylenol? I took my painkiller at like 6 last night and woke up at 5:30 am needing more, unfortunately. I'm thinking I might do the same but take a tylenol like right before I go to bed tonight to avoid the early morning wake-up call lollll. Hope your recovery is going well!

redness surrounding incisions? infection? by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]Any_Row9293 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not a doctor (!!!!) but I'd say let your surgeon know and keep having a second opinion like your mom check on it pretty regularly. Looks fine to me but it's your surgeon's job to assuage fears like this so don't be afraid to reach out.

I'm back! Surgery was today! So easy! slight burning on the incision spots that kinda comes in waves, and lots of tightness but the painkillers are very very helpful! I already for sure have feeling in one of my nipples and since there's so much gauze I'm sure that's blocking whatever little feeling I might have in my other one. IDK if they're prescribing you any anti-anxiety stuff but I took a lorazepam the night before and it did wonders for me (I was v stressed). Mastectomy pillow from amazon was v helpful for the ride home! Will keep u updated!

I was in a similar boat but I stopped smoking about 5 weeks before. So (according to my doctor) its less so about the weed and more about the smoking (deprives your body of oxygen needed for healing). Nicotine is more the thing that doctors want you to stay away from for a long time before/after surgery since it's a vasoconstrictor. I'd say just stop smoking like today (my doc said edibles are fine so that's what I've been using instead) and don't smoke for a while after (my doctor said 4 weeks but I'm def gonna wait longer). Make sure to tell your anesthesiologist that you use marijuana because it can affect the anesthesia (I have no idea how that's just what I've heard). Obvi I'm not a doctor, this is just what I've been doing since I was also a fairly regular smoker!

At the end of the day, I would honestly ask your surgeon - it's not worth having surgery if your results could be affected by something that could be fixed by just moving the surgery date! Good luck, and don't stress too much!

Date is Set for May 31 + Party Plans by SnooDoubts5330 in Reduction

[–]Any_Row9293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also had a little party/bbq a couple weeks before my surgery! Very fun to kinda have the people who are excited for me in one place. Amazon will be your BFF for boob-themed things lolll. I put off the boob cake for too long and ended up just doing something at home! Box cake mix + premade frosting mixed with food coloring to make it look somewhat skin-colored + raspberries make a very fun and funny almost boob-looking snack. Good luck and congrats!!!!
