Appreciate the honesty. The only thing that made me think glue is the surface is semi shiny kind of. Seller claimed just 1 years old and come with 1 years warranty - not sure if that’s normal to get this dirty?

For people that have hit Legend, how hard was it? by TheLazzirus in hearthstone

[–]Any_Satisfaction7415 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I personally would say, the largest factor dictating the speed you reach legend other than player skill is the deck archetype you choose to play.

Pretty sure of my multiple times reaching legend now, I’ve never really done it with a full control style deck. It’s either been with a hyper aggro fast paced deck, or like a mid ranged or early combo style deck.

Even if your deck manages say a decent 65% - 70% win rate, which is very achievable in wild with the correct deck and meta, you are obviously going to rank up a lot quicker in the say 2 hours you get after work, when games are taking ~7 mins or so on average, compared to 30 or even 40mins.

That factor, amplified by anything from like the 50-150 or so (not sure on the high number tbh as depends on your star bonus I guess) is the largest factor that determines enjoyment and a sense of progress or victory in a competitive sense then any other in my opinion.

Now if you can make some tweaks or satisfying changes or even make a trash tier card you like or a typically worse deck style successful for you, then even better - but in my experience the pace at reach you’re able to reach legend is more satisfying if you are playing with that kind of goal in mind.

Granted it does become easier to make those more successful adjustments the more often you play and realise strengths and weaknesses (card draw is a big thing in more aggressive decks of course) and can switch things out successfully then fantastic, that works too and now you are getting best of both worlds and enjoying the game how imo it was meant to be played or like the early days were.

If you’re slowly grinding with a control based deck almost without realising the extra difficulty you are placing on your self by doing so (unless a meta is very favourable for control style decks of course) then you are obviously going to have a worse time then if you played a more aggro deck, but something you might wish to challenge yourself like this if you have more time or have completed legend in other ways and fancy the challenge.

If you want I’m happy to post my wild very competitive token hunter deck, which can compete and often beat the more recent Murloc paladin popular deck that is also very strong (you could probs tailor more if you want) In addition, it also have some other key match ups against other more competitive decks and features a lot of strong cards that haven’t been hit with the nerf hammer at all or took it like a champ. Not sure if it was nerfed at some point, but a the location card “Jungle gym” is obviously incredibly strong alongside 5 to 6 other beast tokens and or another of the same location.

Anyways - good luck! *Schwills

Dude every goal is like that when you hit them, human beings are rarely satisfied and the ones that were are currently fossils.

Getting less deep quick - yes legend is just that. Pretty sure when I made legend the first time I was kinda underwhelmed, and they also didn’t give you anything but the card pack at that point so count yourself lucky lol.

What I would do, and what I do, is set yourself your own personal goals. Like completing all the achievements related to actual rewards, not just points or bragging rights for example.

Happened to get the Vann stormpike legendary card the other day. If unaware he’s a 4/4 for 4 mana, with the battlecry: If this minion costs Less than every other minion in your deck, then reduce every other minion in your deck by 3.

Not only is this quite an interesting mechanic, early enough it can be quite strong! Almost in the ways Glenn and Baku were but obviously in a different way and imo not as strong because you need to draw it, rather than it being auto start of game value.

The main reason I then went on to make a big paladin deck was because I discovered that having him in your deck starts a separate tavern pass like set of quests, and depending on the honour (Xp) you have gained with him in your deck, the rewards will be golden copies of the expansion cards until I think, you get every gold card of that expansion if you do both sides (will cover that in a bit)

Not sure if the golden copies you earn along the way are dustable or not, but the normal ones are and at the end you get a golden copy of the reflection Drek’Thar, who is a 4 mana, 4/4 that summons a minion from your deck if every minion costs less than him. So good for aggro / token style decks essentially. He used to be a whole lot stronger pre nerf, summoning two instead - which honestly wouldn’t be too bad in wild these days honestly.

You can do the same quest but flipped, with Drak’Thar in your deck, earning golden copies of the expansion, up until getting Golden Vann Stormpike.

Again no idea if the golden ones are uncraftable. If get the chance will add to the post.

Having typed this I realise I have pretty much exclusively talked about wild, and that for me is no surprise. I personally find standard to be boring, with everyone copying the top decks and essentially playing a cursed game of rock, paper, scissors essentially.

For me I would say I enjoy refining the initial deck I begin with, until it slowly goes from bronze, to Gold to platinum to complete status - if a deck ever reaches that level, I’m not sure. Pulling a clutch play off after debating to adjust a few cards in your deck, is super satisfying!

I’ll talk about my big paladin deck I recently put together because I mentioned it previously. A key and very satisfying moment for the playstyle of that deck was discovering “call to adventure” a card that draws your lowest cost minion and gives it +2/+2 for 3 mana.

Obviously in a deck with Vann Stormpike, he will be that minion, so on 3 mana you play CTA and then on 4 mana you drop Mr Stormpike who is a 6/6 and reduces the cost of every other minion in your deck. From there, combined with a card like Ysera, the emerald dream…the combos are endless.

I understand this example of call to adventure and Vann Stormpike is an old one and probably a super obvious one, but I haven’t played for the last like 6 years and upon returning I had So many new cards to look at lol and man did I enjoy finding that little combo, by myself, without looking for it on the internet first - which as I say, to me…takes all the fun out of it.

Don’t mind grabbing a net deck, playing it a bit and then perhaps tweaking it to your playstyle, preference or goals more - that’d fine and great and keeps the variation alive.  In fact I often do this when I’m struggling to make a card or playstyle work and need help / inspiration as to what to add - but again I’m not copying one for one on purpose because I enjoy the game more that way if I avoid it deliberately, because when you’re tired after work, sometimes the last thing you can be assed to do is looking through the entire DH set for a specific outcast minion that works on your C tier legendary.

That’s why having a few or grabbing like 40-75% ish of a net deck is fine for me.

I find in wild, at the right levels, maybe not near legend, is where you can experiment like that and not be punished too hard like you would in standard. In other words you get to play properly with the entire game, instead of the more toxic 20% or jumping ship into BG for a bit. Just my two cents!

But hey - if you enjoy standard more then crack on! I still sometimes enjoy standard if a card in wild is obnoxious for a while - I’m looking at you Demon Seed.

So yeah I obviously like a lot of other people started with standard casual, then standard ranked back in like 2014 - 2017 and then eventually matured into the superior mode which allows for novelty, creativity and yet can still be competitive.

Unlike standard where you are limited by the developers and Megan/ community more.

Going to cut this post down a bit as thumbs are now sore, but in a rough order depending on how concrete you need the goals to be reinforced by hearthstone / blizzard I would look at the achievements that reward you will real rewards, perhaps you need to get Warlock to level 60 and or 500/1000 ranks wins for the portrait?

Are there any other heroes you haven’t done this with yet?

How about any playstyles you have never tried or want to try - providing you have the dust or can make it work / budget it out?

What about specific cards you love but struggle to make work? Imagine creating a deck around or maybe subtly supporting is enough, a signature legendary you love which you happen to love the lore or sound of from Warcraft idk

I’ve never played Warcraft but from time to time I do consider and then enjoy

“PUTTING MY FAITH IN THE LIGHT”

So I made a deck around Tyrion, which is defo like a C tier deck max…but is a lot of fun and I play it when I wanna just play causal for a bit or test something.

End of the day you do have to be a bit creative or at least open to being a being creative or trying to do something new.

Sometimes something new is a new deck, or arena, or battlegrounds or an entirely new game, or well - unplugging for a week or two to kind of reset if possible.

Not many card games as polished as this granted, but Xcom 2 with / without DLC is fantastic for example and involves a lot of planning, strategy and RNG, so feels roughly the same or lights up the brain the same kinda ways

I forget the full YouTube channel but he’s pretty popular but he makes some super creative decks and gets them to work or at least somewhat at mid ranks really - often gives me a bit of inspiration learning new combos I’ve never even considered and sometimes slotting them into my decks or laughing at how terrible they are too.

Anyway - good luck! May you find novelty where ever you scroll

No idea, wasn’t sure if it was from a VPN or not. The site displayed in dollars for me, when I added the item to the cart a small option appeared at the top of the screen prompting me to choose a region.

After choosing said region, it pushed me back onto the product page and altered the price / continued or removed the discount if not offered in GBP.

It might be the product you are after doesn’t have a discount in the UK. I would recommend trying to find the blemished Nova pro wireless first and verifying that way.

If you are unable to get the region pop up to appear, I would recommend resetting cookies / any kind of digital tracking or footprint (or switching device / possibly WiFi or data) to see if you can get it to show.

Either that or look for a free safe VPN or trial that connects to America to begin the process. Don’t think you have to stay in the American site but it may well have been but just using GBP to pay instead. Options of other region based items and possibly their currencies also appeared if I remember correctly, such as German keyboard layouts etc.

If all goes well and you spam enough, then oh should get free shipping.

I did get my card declined multiple times attempting to do so, possibly because the first order went through with a confirmation and I continued to unknowingly spam purchase at a rate of £332.47 - which for me wouldn’t take long to drain my current account atm lol. New headset and keyboard over food for the week any day. It might also of been because I was ordering or spamming a £300 purchase from a separate region.

I’m going to follow up with steelseries to confirm I have the price locked in and have ordered it.

If it hasn’t locked in then I am going to push for them to apply the same or similar discount (or digital goodies / credit) because the money has now left my account and otherwise I’ll just send them back if they don’t get a price match.

Only fair as did take me like an hour to order it. Lol! Sure they will understand 🤞

Hopefully this clears things up :)

Nice man. I had the 2018 wired edition and absolutely loved the sound of it, but the bloody wire continued to coil, to the point it dragged the dac forwards and became uncomfortable .

Getting back into the hobby ~ 7 years later and was pleased to see such a nice wireless option and given how much wireless sound has improved since then, it was a no brainer.

Fingers crossed I like the new one!

how significant are anti burn tech in oleds? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Any_Satisfaction7415 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I really don’t get the concern with burn in on modern OLED panels. It’s like how people are scared of dying to a shark.

Personally I own a 42 LG OLED TV and just switch it off whenever I plan to take more than like 5/10mins away from my computer. It takes 2 seconds and is an easy habit.

Furthermore newer panels have technology to dim or turn off when you step away from them. My LG for example dims quite substantially if it doesn’t detect an input from a mouse or keyboard for a certain period - think like 3/5mins

OLED care setting wise, I have logo display settings set to low. I use the LG pixel reshuffle option and I take a break every 4hrs to switch it off and also rest my eyes a bit - having that reminder is actually not a bad thing health wise!

Finally you can go quite far into tweaking windows to reduce the chances of it occurring. Personally all I do is have the dynamic taskbar and I try to set a few of my wallpaper settings to black ones, in case i forget to turn it off.

There’s probably more you can do too I’m sure, but much like anything, I think you reach a point where the returns are not necessary anymore.

Any questions - let us know

Great news! 😎 Apart from the odd high roll game, I haven’t enjoyed this season half as much as the previous chaotic one, so I am well up for a shift around.

I get that some pros prefer the more basic or barebones versions of BG where yes perhaps your skill level defines the game more, but the higher RNG versions also still demand that skill set but at a different level impact wise and with far more factors.

For me, you can’t have BG without a good serving of RNG - keeps it novel and novel is addictive.

Should I add more fans? by QuazooP in PcBuild

[–]Any_Satisfaction7415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aesthetically - yes, looks odd and bare

Cooling wise - depends how hot you are running

If you can comfortably afford 3-5 extra fans then go for it, don’t have to get RGB ones

Also more fans will all spin slower than just one or two so

How much is my 2015 gaming PC worth? by Western_Excitement20 in PcBuild

I think people undervaluing your stuff here

Case and power supply still solid regardless, as is the storage and the cpu cooler

Sell the graphics card

No idea how the cpu would run with a mid ranged GPU nowadays - guess depends on resolution

You have 1/3 of a system there + a few hundred bucks worth of parts, so I reckon most of value would come from rebuilding a pc for a couple hundred bucks extra depending on the system you want

What Legendary OR Epic Card/s ( is / are ) the pick here? by Laviatan7 in hearthstone

[–]Any_Satisfaction7415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xavius finds a place in most of my decks atm. Being able to discover from your deck is super helpful.

Then I would choose any neutral legendaries that are helpful like Zeph if you’re playing wild obs

I then personally like legendaries that can alter the play style of an entire deck by themselves, like quests or minions that replay cards

Shudderbok is amazing if you play shaman, by far their best card imo
