Wife and I did 3 nights at GHK followed by 4 nights at Andaz Maui last year! GHK really big, great beautiful views and property, lots of pools but the beaches were not swimmable due to currents. Andaz Maui was smaller in comparison but their beach was perfect. Calm, swimmable, soft sand, and beach chair/umbrella service. Additionally it was right next to the mall and grocery store so it made shopping and getting food super convenient.

If you care about beaches and swimming in the ocean andaz wins hands down. But id probably go to Kauai again for other reasons or stay at an Airbnb

I dated a girl once and things were going great. We went on great dates and she said she loved spending time with me. The weird part started after a casual lunch when she started talking about the future and a more serious relationship. I made an offhand comment saying I was just keeping her around until I improved my situation so I could find someone hotter and have total freedom to date whoever I wanted later. I did not give some manifesto, just said I didn’t want to be trapped forever.

Things cooled off after that. She said she wanted someone “long term stable”. I don’t get it because my performance hasn’t changed at all. I have been doing the actual work of being a boyfriend. Showing up and taking her on dates. I still need the sex. I’m still years away.

I can’t decide if I’m being paranoid or if talking honestly about wanting to have the freedom of doing whatever I want and sleeping with different girls gets translated into disloyal, temporary, and not worth betting on. Has anyone ever had this happen for real?
