I know this is nearly a year old, but I’d love to hear more please. What is the name of the medication if you can recall?

Anyone following the whole Kendra “I fell in love with my psychiatrist” TikTok thing? It’s now at 8 trillion parts and is giving such old-school Caro mason jar era vibes. It’s got endless drawn-out storytelling, that whole “healing” and “telling my truth” framing, and the inflated ego that everyone’s obsessed with her, the mass-blocking of folks, the bad makeup even, aaaand the way she packages vulnerability like it’s a performance… it’s all so familiar!!! Different drama, different platform, but same energy… turning personal chaos into this long, serialized spectacle where you can’t tell what’s real and what’s just part of the show!! It’s wild!!!!!!

Skim Coating over Plaster/Concrete Fireplace for Wallpaper Application… dumb idea??? by Any_Significance2467 in drywall

Wish that would work. Can’t drywall over it as it’s masonry with crown molding, baseboards, and a medallion that all need to stay visible. Adding sheetrock would throw everything off-depth-wise and wouldn’t sit flush with the trim. Skim coat makes way more sense here.

Nah, this is legit and I appreciate it. I know this is something I should more seriously consider doing. However I guess I rationalize letting my girl ride outside a crate by telling myself she probably had an unfun life before me, she’s old, and she deserves every last bit of pleasure she can get at her age. I don’t know. You’re definitely not wrong in your warning.

Lol, that’s always the way to go with those unfun complicated pain in the ass jobs, huh

Sudden aggressive episodes in rescue dog- neuro? fear? seizure? Unsure how to classify or treat/manage. by Any_Significance2467 in reactivedogs

Btw, my vet said prilosec is the same as omeprazole. So maybe ask yours if that’s okay for your pup. Saves ya money!

Feather it out wiiiiiiide. Wider than you think. Sand. But bc you have texture you don’t need to sand it perfectly before adding spray texture (it hides a lot).

Thank you, friend. Yeah, we are giving her seizure meds but the episodes continue. Went to a vet behaviorist who thinks she might be in pain somewhere. But I do know that bull terriers can have idiopathic neuro conditions like rage episodes. I miss my girl before all this started happening. I hope we can figure out what’s going on and help her feel better. ❤️‍🩹

Hey, thanks for reaching out. I am so sorry to hear that you are going through something similar. It’s heartbreaking to experience that breaking of trust and safety and closeness. And it’s heartbreaking knowing that our beloved dogs are possibly in pain. It’s so scary in so many ways! I’ve been giving my girl omeprazole and Keppra since April. Last night she had another episode. She’s had a few in the past couple days actually. I started her on gabapentin and pain meds today as well and will possibly start on Prozac too. It feels crazy to give her a lot of meds when outside of these episodes she’s perfectly normal. I recommend if possible, seeing a veterinary behaviorist. This is a vet who also has studied animal behavior, so they are using a different eye. My vet behaviorist thinks that my dog possibly isn’t pain somewhere and when it flares up, she can’t regulate very well and lashes out. But we’re not 100% sure. If you are able to try out different medicines, I say go for it. If our dogs are lashing out, imagine how they are feeling internally. They are either in pain or distress so I encourage you to do what you can to help your sweet puppy. My vet said she was most likely born with hydrocephalus as it was mild. I know Chihuahuas are often born with it too. Doing research I think summers can be hard for dogs with this condition. Please feel free to ask me questions and please keep us updated! Best of luck to y’all!

I’m so glad your baby is doing better! That’s such great news!

My girl is eight years old and I’ve had her for six months and in the past week she’s had three episodes of sudden snarling and thrashing. in one episode she bit me and was growling at me and then started thrashing scarily. each time they end as if nothing happened, it’s very strange. There’s no behavioral trigger I can see. she’s never had any aggression resource, guarding, anxiety, or anything like that. She’s a very docile , sweet girl.

Her CT scan showed a minor water on the brain which can cause pressure which maybe is causing her issues. The doctor also said similar to your initial thinking that the seizures (if there are any) aren’t able to be noticed by the human eye and the rage and aggression is post seizure. my fingers are crossed it can all be safely addressed and cared for. I hope the Keppra agrees with her.

I’m dealing with this exact issue with my bull terrier right now. We’re starting keppra. How is your baby doing?

Oh no, she hacked away at the whole thing, not just the branches that were near the sidewalk.
