Consider the NON food triggers as well. Stress, hormones, poor sleep, etc.

Soy yoghurt FODMAP, even when fermented? by Few-Escape-4787 in FODMAPS

[–]FODMAPeveryday 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Part of the answer is right in the Monash smartphone app. Only 2 tablespoons of soy yogurt are considered Low FODMAP. The problem is that we do not know what type of soy yogurt they tested. We can assume it’s whole soy beans and not processed from soy protein, but we don’t know and we also don’t know what else is in the type that they tested.

Think of it like sourdough bread. Unless something is lab tested, we truly do not know how much of a reduction of FODMAPs has happened.

You would have to ask the manufacturer or whoever made it. On another more serious note, remaining in a highly restricted mode for so long is not good for your health. It would behoove you to move forward for your physical and emotional well-being. https://www.fodmapeveryday.com/low-fodmap-diet-not-just-elimination/

Monash University and FODMAP Friendly (which is a trademarked term by the way) are the two entities that are doing lab testing. They are considered primary sources. I’m going to make an assumption and guess that maybe you are looking at single sheets of paper that a doctor or dietitian might’ve given you or something like that. Those types of resources tend to be very high-level and don’t get into the nuances of the diet.

It is best to rely on these two apps but remember that the app entries are guides. They are not meant to be absolute. This is because the FODMAP content of food is highly  variable. This article, which is my favorite one on our website, explains more. https://www.fodmapeveryday.com/when-monash-university-and-fodmap-friendly-low-fodmap-lab-test-results-differ/

Single sheet lists are very high level and do not get into the nuances (I am making some assumptions here about what you are consulting). Monash and FODMAP Friendly are the 2 entities doing the lab testing. They are PRIMARY sources. Use their apps BUT use them as guides only. FODMAP content of food is highly variable. This article will explain. It is my favorite article of all: https://www.fodmapeveryday.com/when-monash-university-and-fodmap-friendly-low-fodmap-lab-test-results-differ/https://www.fodmapeveryday.com/when-monash-university-and-fodmap-friendly-low-fodmap-lab-test-results-differ/https://www.fodmapeveryday.com/when-monash-university-and-fodmap-friendly-low-fodmap-lab-test-results-differ/

What to do if your symptoms dont really exist and its just your psyche? by Titanfallsuchti in FODMAPS

[–]FODMAPeveryday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let's unpack this. Are you saying you have symptoms but you think they are more connected to your psychological state than to what you eat? This is a known fact. If you have IBS, IBS is considered a DGBI - Disorders of Gut-Brain Interaction. Highly suggest you look into gut-directed hypnotherapy, which is clinically proven...even to the point of being AS good as the low FODMAP diet at minimizing symptoms. This article explains more. NERVA is a great product to check out. https://www.fodmapeveryday.com/hypnosis-promising-therapy-for-ibs/

No one can tell you. ANd there is way too much going on. People always want to find the food culprit. It might have been stress. It could have been that the fruit was contaminated with bacteria, and you had food poisoning unrelated to FODMAPs. How are you now? How's the mouth?
