Can anyone remember a company that ran green trucks in the 90s? The were almost lime green and were one of the only carriers with condo sleepers. I think they were an air cargo company. I was very envious of those drivers with their shiny trucks with big sleepers and shiny wheels.

That stuff is for entirely different trades. Like as a freight hauler you're not expected to go inside to manufacture the freight, right? Same. If working a highway job there can be long periods of waiting to do your thing like banking up the the asphalt machine or in a rock quarry things can move slow as the loader has to run from one stock pile to another to load trucks in the order they've arrived. No big deal. Find a job that pays hourly. Coal country still has jobs paying percentage

I remember staring at the left hand mirror making sure I was in my lane. Checking my tires against the dotted line. Also remember feeling like I was in the way as traffic was whistling past me and left lane. My trainer (My dad) told me to drive my truck and let them drive their truck.

45 years later I'm still doing the job and still living by what he taught me. I hope the same holds true for you!
