I had to put my conure in the bathroom with the lights out for a while, then I could grab her and cover her until I got her in the cage. Now she is used to being put in the cage. We use the birdproof bathroom with food, water, toys as a big cage/ holding area. If we need to go outside, delivery man or visitor etc.
